Hunga Tonga eruption
Where do it happen?
The island Kingdom of Tonga in
the Pacific Ocean.

When did it happen?

The 2022 Hunga Tonga-Hunga
Ha'apai volcano eruption began
on December 20, 2021 and had a
major explosive event on
January 15
How and why it happen?
As a result of the eruption of this
underwater volcano, a tsunami
was produced that affected the
coasts of the islands of that
country and Fiji, and tsunami
warnings were issued in Samoa,
New Zealand, Australia, the
Baja California peninsula in
Mexico, the Kuril Islands in
Russia, the West Coast of the
United States, Japan, Peru,
Ecuador and Chile.
Evolution:
How does it
change?
● In my opinion, the importance of the
study of temporary natural
phenomena in a step-by-step
manner is that, by doing this
method, comparisons of what
happened and what phenomenon
caused it can be applied, as well as
studying climatic conditions by
which the place is can be more
affected, depending on its location,
relief, climate, etc.

To make a water dam, I would use a relief map and a soil type map, since the relief
map would help to find a place with a favorable elevation and poorly porous soil, in
order to avoid landslides or erosion. I consider that to make a dam it is necessary to
consider the water transfers.

How would you do the study

so I would also use a map with streets to know to which neighborhoods the water
would be taken, as well as to look for places where the water reaches almost the
same gravity, thus avoiding the use of mechanisms such as pumping for the highest
areas..
Importance of the use of
geographical coordinates

1. the study of coordinates, maps and cartography is very important, because with these studies we can
know where we are, know if it is going to rain or travel around the world
2. It also serves to know if a place is suitable for building or if one place is more humid than another.
3. thanks to these studies we have houses that can withstand earthquakes and very strong rains and be
able to build things making the most of the weather and the wind
