1. Malaysia Airlines is the flag carrier of Malaysia and a member of the one world airline
alliance. The company, Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) commenced operations as the
national carrier on 1 September 2015 when Malaysian Airline System (MAS) was dissolved
from Bursa Malaysia in 2014 and subsequently ceased operations on August 31, 2015. The
airline began as Malayan Airways Limited, and flew its first commercial flight in 1947. It
was then renamed as Malaysian Airways after the formation of the Federation of Malaysia in
1963. In 1966, the airline was renamed Malaysia Singapore Airlines (MSA) and in 1972
Malaysian Airline System (MAS).

Recruitment

The recruitment process in Malaysian Airlines will vary from role to role. There are 3
process involve in the recruitment. Firstly, application process. Applicant can explore for
roles currently available in MAG in the Career Opportunity. They are required to verify their
email address before proceeding to the next level. Once they are in the Application Page, they
can start creating your profile by uploading their current photo and other necessary
information. Once they have found a job they are interested in, complete the application form
and upload their attachments of a covering letter, a curriculum vitae, plus any relevant
testimonials. Submit their online application as soon as all the information and files are
complete. All applications must be made online. We are unable to accept speculative CVs.
Secondly, selection process. Once they have received the application they will send the
applicant acknowledgment by e-mail. They will notify applicant officially via email if their
profile matches what the airline are looking for. Applicant will be invited to come for the first
round of interviews. The third process is interview. Interviews will take place with a
representative from HR and the hiring manager. The number, duration and type of interviews
conducted will often vary. Prior or post interview, employment reference and background
checks will be conducted.

2. Qualification of Cabin Crew

Malaysia Airlines is a well known company, so it’s expected them to be distinct and careful
in selecting cabin crews. They are few qualifications required in Malaysian Airlines cabin
crew. First of all, applicant must be a Malaysian citizen. Besides that, flight attendants must
be 18-30 years old. Other than that, they should have the capable of reaching emergency
equipment onboard. The height should be 157cm and above, and the weight is equal to it.
Moreover, they should be knowledgeable in Malaysian culture as well as their hospitality.
And they also should understand and is capable of speaking in English. Other languages are
advantages too. In addition they are few things that a cabin crew should take as a responsible
in their job. They should welcome passenger with a warm smile and courteous presence.
They should provide their basic amenities onboard, like food and drinks. They also should
execute well-discerning instruct on emergency equipment and safety protocols. And also they
should help some passengers when they need to place baggage and find a seat, always be
prepared when in times of emergency cases. If there’s an unprecedented event, make a report
of it.
