Policy Statement

The orchid tobacco aims and recognizes its health and safety duties to all employees for
providing a safe and healthy working environment as per (HSE at Work Act 1974,
Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999).
It is the policy of the Organization to promote the health and safety in the Organization
premises and to that committed to.
 Take all rationally attainable steps to protect the health, safety of all personnel on
the site locations.
 Conduct sufficient risk assessment on all the operational activities to eliminate,
reduced, or controlled foreseeable incidents.
 Provision of safe working conditions with required facilities to safeguard the health
and safety of workers and to ensure that no work is unsafe that can produce risk to
health or safety.
 Train and encourage all workers on HSE Matters in identifying hazards and
foreseeable risks and reporting any unsafe condition.
 Ensure provision of safe workplaces and work equipment, and safe system of work,
which are safe and pose no risk to health and safety.
 Place and maintained health and safety arrangements that are best the use,
handling, storage and transport of articles and substances.
 Ensure Provision of appropriate information, instructions and training.
 Ensure provision of specific health and safety trainings and supervision trainings to
all HSE Responsible persons.
 Provide competent supervision.
 Ensure provision of necessary personal protective clothing and equipment free of
charge.
 Ensure that the hours of work do not adversely affect employees’ safety and health.
 Take measures to eliminate any extreme physical and mental fatigue.
 Make sure to stay up-to-date with HSE Standards and guidance in order to comply
with the above.

This HSE Management system, policy statement and procedures may be altered at any time
by the management. The Management will review the policy statement in January each year.
