Background
To identify hazards I physically visitor Orchid Tobacco workshop, and physically inspect
all activities which are part of my risk assessment.
I gathered site related information through physical observation, physical inspection of
workplace. I physically inspected all the equipment’s and workplace, I checked their
maintenance and inspection record. I observed how workers were performing their jobs,

how I identified the hazards, what accidents happening here, and to identify what were the causes of those accidents. As
is already being done) per the discussion with workshop supervisor, many accidents are not recorded.
Detail notes with detailed information taken from workshop site including inventory
detail. What is being investigated that management is not committed towards health
and safety.
No adequate provision of training to workers, There is health and safety policy
documented by management. But I have seen Health and safety policy statement
document hasn’t been established and communicated with workers on workshop floor,
there is lack of communication between workers and management, No other effective
control measures were placed by management. No PPE’s are being used by workers as
I have observed management and workers have casual attitude towards health and
safety.
Management need to aware and priorities health and safety of organization.
Management need to update the process and machinery that are outdated.
Management need to communicate with workers and provide adequate trainings on
health and safety. Management must ensure provision and use of sufficient PPE’s.

How I’m going to communicated risk This risk assessment will be placed on table with management including Managing director,
assessment findings. workshop Manager, and Finance manager. And finding of this report will be presented to
them. With open feedback questioning answering section and views from other meeting
members.
After approval from management all the risk assessment findings, minutes of meetings, and
management suggestions will be communicated through tool box talk to all workers,
operators to get them aware about hazards and risk associated with their workplace. To
share control measure or solution this will positively impact on workers behavior they will
somehow start behaving safely. And this help in improving the safety culture.
Minutes of meetings, and suggestion on an all action. All the document will be pasted on
workshop noticeboards. Hard print outs will also be distributed among all workers.
