The diagram below shows the process of electricity production.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main

features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The process details the stages of electricity production. From a general
point of view, it is immediately evident that the production of energy
involves the combination of coal and oxygen subjected to various
chemical processes, including heating, resulting in gases which then
power two types of turbines. different to generate electricity.

In the beginning, the coal is transported by ramp to a furnace where it

is heated and combined with oxygen. The residual by-product of it is
slag and the desired gas (raw syngas) is then sent for the removal of its
harmful contaminants, CO2, mercury and sulfur, before the purified gas
is used to operate a gas turbine connected to a generator. This is the
first way electricity is created.

However, the fueloline turbine the usage of the purified syngas

additionally produces extra warm gases and those are utilised in a
warmness recuperation steam generator (which releases flue gases into
the atmosphere). The generator produces steam which turns the
generators of a steam turbine to generate extra electricity.
