Match the words to their definitions.

Albert Well, thank you for the advice, but now you’re giving me a terrible headache.

Expressing recommendation

We express recommendation by using the modal should.

You should see a doctor if you have earache.

Paul should study more for his exams.

They should do more exercise.

We can express recommendation in the negative form by using shouldn’t.

You shouldn’t eat too many hamburgers.

Jim shouldn’t work so much, or he will get sick.

We shouldn’t eat so much candy.

We can also express recommendation in the question form.

What should I do with my life?

Should they be healthier?

Complete the sentences using the correct form of should of the verbs in brackets.
