Compare and contrast 2 points of view while reading the original version of
The 3 Little Pigs and The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs.
Day 1--Read Original version. Students will color the houses in the order the
pigs built them in the story. Students will write a summary of the original
story on page 2.
Day 2-Read The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs. Ask students who is telling
the story. Ask them to predict if the story will be different? Read the
story, discuss what events are similar and different. Complete the Wolfy
Comparisons page.
Day 3—Review both stories with the class. Students will choose sides. Who
do they believe. Students will write their opinion and back it up with reasons
from the story.
You may want to then have the students “debate” who they believe.
Day 4-Students will create either a Wanted or Set free Poster to back up
their Opinion.
