Work Ethics 1

What do you do when you’re faced with an opportunity to lie, cheat or steal for the betterment of
yourself? Of course it’s easy to say, make the moral, ethic choice; however, is it easy when you’re
strapped for cash and the register is fortuitously open?

If I encountered such event, I would never be tempted to steak any amount.

In work ethics, it includes HONESTY. We should keep in mind our values as a person and avoid being
tempted by the likes of doing such things in your workplace. By implying honesty, you will have a
truthful and fun environment. The happier the workers are, the more transparent the workplace is.
Employees are more productive the happier they are. In the end, being honest helps to increase
leadership confidence and company trust. By speaking the truth, we may all see the problem and
cooperate to find a solution.

Integrity and honesty are essential in the workplace because they foster credibility and trust among
staff, management, and customers. These traits increase the likelihood that coworkers and superiors will
respect and value an employee. A healthy work atmosphere where everyone feels safe and valued is
created by ethical behavior. Additionally, it encourages a culture of responsibility, accountability, and
fairness. Individuals and organizations can uphold a positive reputation and cultivate enduring
connections with stakeholders by upholding ethical norms.

1. You see a coworker harassing another employee, or you see a supervisor harassing or bullying a
subordinate. What do you do?

I would take a short video of the act for proof and report it to the management, and then I will confront
them for their behavior.

One of the critical elements of work ethics is respect, by harassing another employee is disrespecting
their well-being. “Ethics seeks to resolve questions of human morality by defining concepts such as good
and evil, right and wrong, virtue and vice, justice and crime” to demean/harass another employee are
unethical and morally wrong. Some description of a good work ethic as respectable and dependable.
How can a person who does not respect others be reputable and reliable? The ways you can apply ethics
in your life include respecting and defending human rights by defending others and bringing them
justice; I am also applying ethics in myself.

2. A coworker is consistently late, and you know it’s because of their home situation; however, they
continue to slide into work unnoticed. Do you say something or not?

No, becausee it’s not my business, I don’t know what exactly happens in their home, and it’s their
responsibility to be punctual. It is also not myy responsibility to fix his bad habits, but as a co-employee,
I would ask how I can help in their situation with the best I can.

“Some things you can do now to develop a good work ethic. Practice punctuality. Develop the habit of
being on time or early for all appointments.” As an employee, they should be responsible enough to
work on time. Some of the five codes of ethics are being professionally competent and having
professional behavior. But I also should understand their situation as I do not know what they
experience.
