My Philosophy of Self

The philosophy of self-defines the essential qualities that make

one person distinct from all others, there have been numerous
approaches to defining these qualities. The idea of a unified being
which is the source of unconsciousness. Self is unique it does not
fit to any other self but the person who owns it.
I have always questioned why I can’t live without experiencing
the feeling of not fitting in. Now that I reached an age what I am
right now I slowly having group of life in reality. I have come the
realize that myself is different from others, theirs is different from
mine. In my Junior High school days I experienced a lot of ups and
downs, for those downs I always ask myself why I can’t be like
others who are always happy and seems not t think about anything
but just happiness, I have always felt like no one understand me
especially when I voice out my problems to others, it was those
moment I started comprehend the fact that we can hang-out with
people/friends but still not know them completely. Although we can
acquire manners and likings from them that makes us somewhat
similar, we cannot fully turn like them.
The of self-differs from people. I am the only one who owns me
You are the only on who owns you, therefore the definition of self
indeed only to the person who holds it. As what William Henley said
‘‘I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul” it is us
who are the masters and owners of our own self.
