1.Do you agree that there is a difference between the body and soul? Do you think you have both? What
is the difference between the two?
>There is a little confusion of people regarding the meaning of soul, as in the dictionary it means the
spiritual or immaterial part of human being. While the bible is giving us a different meaning which the
whole being means, the body with spirits and alive is called soul. The body has become alive due to the
breath of life from God which is also called the spirit. As a human being we all have a body and a soul.
Once it is alive it’s called by the bible as soul but once the breath of life will go back to God so then the
body will be dead then there will be no more soul since the body is sleeping. So, we can’t tell the
difference between soul and body because both of them are dependent by the spirit, without the spirit the
body is dead and there will be no soul to exist unless there is a spirit that will complete it.
2. Based on Plato’s viewpoint, what happens to a person whose 3 components of the soul are imbalance?
> When a person has imbalanced the 3 components of the soul, they will lose their soul after death so in
order to save your soul, there have to be a perfect balance. The word of God in the bible teaches in 1
Thessalonians 5;23 and the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and
soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
3. Do you believe in the concept of the soul coming to heaven after death?
>I don’t believe I the concept of the soul, let alone heaven or hell. There is exactly no evidence that such
a thing as a soul exists. There was the body which was obvious to everyone, you can touch it, it moves, it
can do things, and then there was the mind, the thing that thought, and people couldn’t understand how is
that related to the body even though the correlation is obvious.
4. What make us people different from animals?
>I think the main difference between humans and other animals is our ability of complex reasoning, our
use of complex language, our ability to solve difficult problems, and our ability to express our thoughts,
feelings, and emotions. Also humans are creative, have a highly developed brain that allows us to do
many of these things.
5.Do you agree with Descartes statement about the self (body & soul) so far? What seems to be
questionable in their conjectures?

Application and Assessment:
1. How would you describe yourself?
>I am a hard-working and driven individual who isn’t afraid to face a challenges. I am passionate, I
would describe myself as an open and honest person who doesn’t believe in misleading other people
and tries to be fair in everything I do.
2. what are the influence of family in your development?
>Our family influences us for being caring to other people by showing it us and also they applied to
us how much they care for us so that is why we adopted it and applied it to ourselves and to others
specifically to our friends and love ones.
3.Think of a time when you felt you we’re you’re through self, what made you think you were truly
who you are during this time of your life?
>I remember the intense feeling that I had before, as I was praying to God really intensely and asking
him all hopes and worries, that’s when I felt like I was my real life. When I’m with my family I don’t
pretend to be, they know who I am and what I usually do. For sometimes, when I’m with my
classmates, I can’t really say that I’m not in agreement with a certain matter, because I might to be
upset with them. And they don’t know me as well, so I feel like I’m really me when I’m with
someone I love like my family.
4. following the previous question, can you provide a time when you felt you were not living you’re
“true self “? Why did you have to live a life like that? What did you do about it?
>The times when I was not my ‘true self’, there would be hesitation. The words and actions do not
come out instantly. I would pause and think before saying or doing something. Usually, the first
thought that enters the mind is not what I would do or say. I would change or alter these actions to
make it more to others.
5. what social pressures help shape yourself? Would you have wanted it otherwise?
>Our social culture helps us in a way of understanding ourselves better and the reason behind our
every belief. Performance , this social pressure helps us to perform better and strive for perfection. If
we see other people doing well, it serves as a motivation for us to do better.
6. what aspects of yourself do you thinks maybe changed or you would like to change?
>I don’t share my problems with anyone. Hiding and facing problems alone have become my nature,
I find the solutions alone. I don’t take advices to, and I follow the philosophy of my life “sharing your
problems with someone makes you weaker, it makes you dependent. You should face it alone, it will
make you stronger”. I have many good and trustworthy people in my life. I can share anything but
when it comes to problems I become selfish. So this is the thing I would like to change about myself,
I want to learn to share my problems.

want people to know are the possibilities and my true purpose of what I do. I do not do thing for fame nor
do I want people to think that I do things for that. The knowledge I have isn’t to impress people.
Everything that I do is part of my personality including my style of writing.
Most of all, I want people to see me as someone who shares the truth with others because I know the truth
is certain things that I know very well. Of course, I do not know everything, and I would like people to
know that too.
Last of all, I would like others to see that I have faults just like every other human being
