GIVE UP TOMORROW

The documentary Give Up Tomorrow is a film of Michael Collins and Marty

Syjucofocusing on the Chiong Murder Case happened on July 16, 1997 in Cebu. The
Chiongsisters, Marijoy and Jacqueline Chiong, were said to be kidnapped, raped, and
murdered byFrancisco Juan "Paco" Larrañaga alongside with 6 more people. They
were first sentence of life imprisonment then sentenced to death by lethal injection on
February 3, 2004.The film emphasizes the story of Paco enduring the life in prison
believing that justice will come, that he will be proven to be innocent, regardless of what
people keeps ont telling that he is guilty with the crime being committed. Paco being
proven to be guilty because of a sudden appearance and statement given by Davidson
Rusia was the most intriguing part of the film, especially when Mrs.Chiong even give
Rusia a pair of pants and polo shirt. It doesn’t make any sense. Just likewhat Mimi
Larrañaga, Paco’s sister, “If you are a parent, and this person said, ”Oh, I killed your
daughter.”Would you do those things and give them birthday cake? That’s really
not, that’s why something was up.”The film presented was strong and arguments and
well presented as facts about the case. The film urge me to know the truth about on it
and suddenly hope for the reopening of the case just to find whats really happened that
day 21 years ago of Chiong's Sisters story. The lawyer own the case and have the DNA
sample of the body of the death people and suddenly investigate it and to know the
truth.
