 This pack is part of a growing bundle of character education
lessons. I created this pack after realizing how much my kiddos
needed direct instruction in how to be kind, responsible, and
confident. I believe our students need to be taught exactly what
we expect from them. If we expect something form our
students, we must ensure that we have explicitly taught it and
modeled it. This packet is designed to TEACH students about
kindness and character, in the same way that we teach math or
reading.

In this resource you will find 4 lessons on respect. Ideally, this

packet would be used during a classroom meeting or time set
aside each week to focus on character education.. Many of the
lessons could be revisited throughout the year…reminders are
always helpful! 

These lessons are intended for whole-group meetings, especially

if everyone is sitting together on the carpet or rug. It’s
important your students know expectations for meeting-time, as
well as “shoulder partners.” Students will discuss things with their
peers on the right and left.

We truly hold the future in our hands, and I hope this resource
is helpful to you in setting your little ones up for success not
only as students, but as members of a community! 
