Blizzard Snowman

Snowman Craft
Create a blizzard of fun in your classroom with this snowman project!

Materials for one snowman:

white and colored construction paper scraps

9" x 12" blue construction paper

shallow box or box lid at least 9" x 12"

spoon

small bowl

white tempera paint

marble

glue

Directions:

1. Tear the construction paper scraps to make a snowman. Glue the snowman in the middle of the blue
construction paper.

2. Place the project in the box.

3. Pour a small amount of paint into the bowl and put in the marble.

4. Carefully lift the marble out with the spoon and place it atop the project.

5. Lift the box and gently roll the marble around the paper. Repeat to create a blizzard effect.

Curriculum Connection: Have each child write or dictate a story about the day her snowman got lost in a blizzard.
Staple her story to the bottom of her project. Display the projects around the room for a blizzard of reading fun!
