Introduction:
Hello everyone! Welcome to Licom College and to the next ladder of your education!
As freshman student, you need to know more about Licom College so that you will guided and directed in your
upcoming school activities. So now, ready to go for exploration.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the lesson, you are expected to:
1. Identify the Libon Community College as an institution of service and truth.
2. Explain the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the Licom College.

Very good! This time let us take a closer look to your chosen school in your tertiary education. You need to know
the important features of Libon Community College, reflect on it and discern your actions that will lead you
toward your personal vision.

Let us define and discuss the following key concepts.


1. Vision
According to the dictionary, vision is a statement that focuses on tomorrow and what the school wants to
ultimately become. It describe to where the school or organization hopes they will be going in the future if
they can fulfill their mission. It further describe the desired future position of the school/organization. So
for Licom College the vision statement clearly defines what it wants to become in the future.

2. Mission
It is a statement of purpose like a road map of how to achieve the desired future set in the vision
statement. It defines the school/organization’s business, its objectives and its approach to reach those
objectives. It is all about the present moment of what the school/organization is doing its best to the
optimum results. Like the Libon Community College, its mission statement reveals what the school is doing
the best at the present time, its appropriate actions towards the fulfillment of the desired future.
3. Goals
It includes the direction and overall destination of your school/organization want to achieve. These are
statements of what needs to be accomplished to implement the strategy. These are the measurable defined
milestones towards reaching your mission. These are long term targets that are achievable within five or ten
years span of time of which Licom College holds on.

4. Objectives
These are the specific actions and timelines for achieving the goal. It possess the SMART characteristics
such as specific, measurable, action-oriented, realistic and time bound. These are short term targets that
can be attained within six months, semester or a year time that Licom College continues to persevere for
good.

So, now dear students you have explored the meaning and discussions on the key concepts that later on will
establish strong connections to the Libon Community College and ultimately to you. Watch out and continue
exploring yourself in your new tertiary school, the Licom College.

SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

VISION
An institution of higher learning that will create professional, competent, service-oriented, principled and productive citizens of the
community and of the country as well.

MISSION
Licom shall produce locally and globally competitive graduates imbued with sense of values geared towards research, extension,
service and production for sustainable development.

GOALS

1. Offer excellent services and produce quality graduates.


2. Develop degree programs and technical courses to enhance the labor market and improve the quality of life.
3. Provide knowledge, skills and values in the different disciplines.
4. Effect personnel development programs for faculty and staff.
5. Institute management programs for effective and efficient academic governance.

OBJECTIVES

1. Offer relevant degree and non-degree programs that would realize/meet the vision, mission, goals
and objectives of the college.
2. Conduct research that will lead to productive extension service.
3. Establish linkages with the different agent’s goals as well as private organizations.

This time you are to explain or put into writing what you have understood on the vision statement,
mission statement, goals and objectives of Libon Community School. Your answers will be gathered and
processed. Then, the result will be used for reflection to come up with personal commitment as a
student and be put in the post-assessment. The VMGO of Licom College are clearly stated with very
noble undertakings for the good future of the students that will eventually benefit the municipality of
Libon and our motherland, Philippines. Now, you are one of the students of Licom College, what is your
