ELECTION

On May 9th, 2022, national and local elections were held. Many voters,
particularly first-time voters, such as myself, are eager to vote for our country's
future. During the campaign season, people show their support for politicians they
believe are capable of standing up for them and the country.

As a young and first-time voter, I must admit that deciding who to vote for is
difficult. You must conduct research and dig to ensure that your chosen candidate
has a clean record. Someone who can speak for the people of his or her country.
However, at this point, it should be about capability, competence, and someone who
can be trusted. It should not be assumed that just because your surname is well-
known, you are excluded from the debate and from presenting your platform. The
past few months of the electoral campaign have been rough for every party. The
rallies, the house-to-house campaign, and especially the debates they attended I am
referring to the presidential candidates since they are the talk of the nation these
past few months. I’ve witnessed how these two big parties and their supporters
show their support for each other. Since the election turned out okay, we are just
hoping for the betterment of the people and the country.

As a student and a citizen of this country, I just hope that the newly and re-
elected leaders would be responsible because you are the nation's trusted
individuals. Good administration and a better country for the people are my hopes.
