Communication in our society today is vital in nation-building. It became a

powerful tool in bridging the gaps between different ideologies and perspectives of
people. It fosters understanding among people. It became a powerful tool in solving
conflicts. But then an improper way of communication causes risks and danger to
people. There was a numerous advantage and at the same time disadvantages of
communication. The right way of using communication is the key to established
solidarity among people.
The Philippines National 2022 Elections so far is one of the most controversial
elections that happened in history. A lot of issues continuously arise. A lot of criticisms
on every politician could be seen in any platforms. It’s a great indicator that people are
engaging in political matters. In this coming May 2022 national election debates being
organized and general rallies helps a lot in hearing out the different platforms of every
candidate running from the lowest position up to the highest position. This was once of
the great advantage of communication and expression. Candidates were given a
chance to speak and the Filipino people were given a chance to listen and to reflect for
them to chose the best and fit candidate who are qualified enough in leading our
country for the growth and improvement in all aspects that we really dream for a better
Philippines. The Social medias gives space for people to communicate with other voters
in raising their voices on why a certain candidate must be voted. The qualifications and
the best self of the candidates were shared via Facebook, TikTok’s, you tube, twitter
and other social media platforms that somehow educate other and give awareness to
other in voting wisely. The social medias became an avenue for communication in
evaluating who among the candidates were the best among the best. That is why all of
us must be vigilant and wise enough in opening up a conversation and communication
with other people. We need to be wise enough in evaluating and sharing information in
order not to misled the public to misinformation’s and fake news. Communication makes
a strong foundation for a certain group of voters in honoring and encouraging other
people to choose their bet candidates for several reasons.
On the other hand, the communication that was made using social media
platforms in expressing voters’ opinions and choices brought divides among people. It
destroys relationships. It is because some were not using communication in an effective
and efficient way. Instead of solving conflicts it gives rise to a more kinds of societal
problems that destroys solidarity and oneness among people. It develops arrogant and
non-thinker individuals that spreads toxic information’s because some are desperate
enough to make their opinion count about the candidates of their choice. The reactions,
opinions and their statements all matter. They really matter. But then some of them take
it too much that it causes divides and conflicts. Even the professional people became
unprofessional. Good and moral standards were forgotten making them to be look like
uneducated.
Qualified voters of the Philippines in this Philippine National 2022 elections must
be wise enough in choosing the right candidate for they are the one who will help us
lead the country to success and improvement. Voting wisely is vital. It could be
considered as a practical wisdom. A practical wisdom that must be embraced by
everyone. The sanctity of the ballots must be guarded. Politics is a question of personal
preference and everyone is entitled of their own opinion and choices. Voting with the
same goal in mind to make wise decisions to elect wise leaders will save our country
from chaos. Voting wisely is a responsibility of citizens. This was an act that could be
considered as the greatest contribution we could give for a better Philippines. Voting
responsibly could be considered as a great duty you need to do not only for yourself but
for your fellow Filipino and for the whole Philippines as a whole Your one vote matters,
that they should not be wasted by shading the names of those unqualified candidates
that are not fit in the position.
The Philippine National 2022 elections are likely to be one of the most crucial in
the country’s history as the new set of leaders that will be elected will play a great role
and responsibility for lifting the Philippines upward and forward after the economic
slump caused by the pandemic. Are the Filipino voters ready for their role as agents of
change? That’s why as a citizen of this country we must take active roles in raising
awareness to vote wisely and chose the best leaders. Before you shade, think for your
one vote could change a lot of circumstances. Vote wisely for a better Philippine
Society. Used communication as powerful tool in raising awareness on voting wisely
importance.
