Reflection on the Problem of Philippine Elections

On education attainment requirements.

Before any of us ordinary people can obtain the positions that we desire, we must make sacrifices and
put in a lot of hard effort in order to obtain the degrees and careers that we desire. Senators and the
President, like the rest of us, should have college degrees. There should be no special treatment for
those running for office, and stronger criteria should be established for picking the people or candidates
who have the right to drive our country in the right way. We can't only trust the candidate's intentions;
we have to trust their plans and how well they can carry out the concepts they have in their heads.

What can you suggest to improve the elections and political parties in the Philippines?

To improve the election process and the political parties in our country, I recommend that we perform
extensive background checks on those who are responsible with counting ballots. Furthermore, political
parties in our country should be staffed by people who are appropriately qualified for the positions for
which they are running, with jobs that are closely related to the identity of the political party in
question. I also believe that every election should have several recounts so that the people of the
Philippines believe the results, rather than protesting them, and accept that the politicians they backed
did not win. This will allow them to respect the majority's desire, even if it is destructive to the country.

The role of social media in Philippine elections.

People are using social media sites to bash other candidates, spread misinformation about candidates
and the ones they favor, and give false articles for people to read. The Filipino people are misled by
social media. Because it is so easy for us to visit any website or page that is available, social media plays
a crucial part in every election. They can only believe or be convinced by what they see, read, and hear
on social media if they have fact-checked the information they are receiving to confirm its authenticity.
This is something that every Filipino should have done.

How would you describe the Philippine election and the involvement of political parties?

The election in the Philippines, in my judgment, it was full of lies and corruption. Almost all politicians
who have run for any position in government seek the title of such positions as well as the money that
they can steal without being discovered. Another thing that almost all politicians desire is power. This is
not true of every politician, but it is true of the vast majority of them. Some politicians are not corrupt.
We continue to struggle with this issue from generation to generation, even if only a small number of
people have any intention of supporting, defending, serving, or being loyal to the Filipino people.

What are your thoughts on the results of the May 2022 elections?

My first thought is that if the people want him to lead, we should let him. However, I believe it is wrong
to just let someone lead at this time. There has been no practical action taken to assist persons who are
currently suffering from hunger and poverty, people who are losing their employment, and people who
are unable to purchase the items they require due to rising inflation. Second, I honestly believe that the
outcome of that election and the impact it would have had on the nation would have been much
different if the correct person had won. In conclusion, I feel that the election in May was fraught with
tension, anxiety, and fervor because all of the candidates were deserving.
