Introduction:

1.What is spiral progression?

When we speak of spiral it has something to do with teaching concepts from

basic to complex. expose the learners into a wide variety of concepts/topics and

disciplines, until they mastered it by studying it over and over again but with different

deepening of complexity.

2.Cite the specific legal basis mandating the use of spiral progression as an approach in

teaching subjects in basic education?

Republic Act No. 10533 legal basis mandating the use of spiral progression as an

approach in teaching subjects in basic education.It was included in the standards and

principles of these act that the DepEd shall adhere to the following standards and

principles to enhanced basic education curriculum .The curriculum shall use the spiral

progression approach to ensure mastery of knowledge and skills after each level.

3.Draw a tree and illustrate the biological and physical branches of science while twigs

would represent the sciences classified in each branch.

Botany- Plant Ecology,Palaeobotany,Archaeobotany,Forensic Botany.

4.In a range of 1-5 RATE yourself as to your interest to teach science in elementary

grades

I rate myself 5 since I really have a great interest to teach in science in elementary

grades.
