I. Foreword
This almanac contains written legends and graphic maps of one of the most important
sectors in the 10th Millennium Universe. The Game Master and the Role Player can find
hours of adventure on the worlds of these sectors by themselves, but when combined
with the long arm reach of the entities that inhabit them, they can be the basis for
massive campaigns. This is the fourth release in the 10 th Millennium line of game
manuals; we hope you find it useful and thoroughly interesting. Please send any
comments or questions to the author at jimthegm13@yahoo.com.

II. Introduction

THE MACUMBRIAN SECTOR

The MaCumbrian sector was named Sector 005 in 9854 by Randall Cook, the famous
explorer hired by the Earth Federation and Queen of Atlas to seek out worlds in the
Sectors then called 005 and 006. These were of course to become the MaCumbrian and
Cook Sectors later in time. The name Cumbrian comes from Cumbres, the Malorian god
of seas and winds, and the first syllable added later comes from two famous women
Sarah McDane and Sonia MacTaggert who accomplished great achievements in this and
other sectors at different times.

The MaCumbrian sector is a sparsely populated sector that is Rearewerd of the Lucan
sector and Nearewerd of the Les’per sector. The sector has three Class D stars, two
major galactic features, three races, and twelve known languages.

The dominant race of the sector is the Malorians. A distant second is the Shadarians of
Olius I, Gideons of Rentnor of Olius II.
The languages of the sector in descending order of usage are:
Malorian, Familiar, Aryan, Shadaran, Gideus, Persian, Venetian, and Ramaran.

There are nine worlds in the sector; Malor II being the largest and Olius II being the
smallest.

IV. The Malorian Race

The Malorian language and alphabet:

The written language of the Malorians is approximately 2,000 years old at the outset of
the 10th millennium. The language is made up of an alphabet of atypical figures and
base numerals. Signs from the gods and goddesses are everything to the Malorians, and
their alphabet and number system contains four sacred letters and three sacred
numbers. These are G (for Gargha), I (for Isis), X (for Xenna), and Y (for the life giving
feminine); and the base 11 numerals with 1, 6, and 9 being sacred.

Malorian Number Systems:

Malorian society is based upon the belief that Isis the Eternal Mother breathed life into
the star systems in Year One, which translates loosely to BH 8100. So in effect, the
Malorians believe that human life itself is only roughly 2,000 years old. They do believe,
however, that as they were given life here, it was the Aryans of Mars that were also
given life at that time, albeit in the Ramaris Sector, light years away. The Malorians
consider themselves and the Aryans of Mars the children of the gods and goddesses,
and everyone else to be their subordinate races. The Malorians have scientific basis for
these beliefs, as they share a similar DNA with the Aryans, and a common hatred of any
races with darker skin, unkempt hair, or any obesity whatsoever. The average Malorian
male at age 25 is light skinned, blonde haired, and has less than 7% body fat. Similarly,

Sector Almanac A 2 10th Millennium©

10

the female of the same age will be very thin and pale, but will always have hair a
minimum of 35-40 cm in length. Malorian society accepts the female as an equal to the
male, and the working class of their society is a true form of unisex communism.
Malorians detest most other races, but are tolerant of some (such as the Krokans) mostly
for the love of their young men. It is an atrocity and abomination to the gods and
goddesses for a Malorian to marry another race. Up to marriage courting other races is
allowed, but strongly discouraged, especially in upper class societies.
Malorian children are taught four major things in their early years: 1) love and worship
of the mother goddess, 2) mathematics, 3) discipline, and 4) life skills. Malorian children
are tested and segregated at very early ages, and the gifted are identified no later than
age 5 for recruitment in the military or government. Malorians as a whole do not
participate in leisure activities or entertainment, they are groomed from birth to seek
self- improvement every minute of their lives. It is for this reason that Malorian cities
are filled with training centers, libraries, and competition arenas that are all part of the
goal of Malorian society, to rule the universe and become one with the gods and
goddesses. In Malorian society, loyalty to gods and government is not only expected
and demanded, it is met with extreme measures of punishment when not rendered.
Degrees of punishment include prison, removal of social status or rank, death, and the
ultimate dreaded punishment, banishment through the Walk of Treason. A Malorian
that survives this ghastly ritual is banished for life, and killed on site if he is ever seen
again.
Malorians believe that other worlds and societies are theirs to plunder, and it is that
reason that the military gets huge priority on all worlds that the Malorians claim as
territories. At the outset of the 10th Millennium, the Malorian Senate on Malor II is in
high talks about electing an emperor, a move that would claim to all worlds that there is
an Empire on the rise. However, the Senate has voted as recently as 10001, and
proclaimed that universe belongs to the Malorian and Aryan races, and that a new
dawn of man has arrived. They call the new plan the Malorian Initiative.

Map Scale: 1 hex = 385 kilometers

Major Continents:
Lament
This small southern continent is home to large bara forests that are largely ignored
except by indigenous fishermen that use them to build crude homes.
Lament’s only city is Reibek, an urban sprawl of about 80 million citizens, all workers in
the continent’s spacecraft factories and test facilities, which take up 50% of the island’s
landmass. Lament is home to the 2nd Malorian Army Reserve, a force of 43,000 human
troops, as well as two armored divisions and three Air Cavalry Regiments.
The local government of Lament regulates a corporation that owns and operates a gold
mine in the southern ice sheet; this facility produces over 100 megatons of gold ore per

week. The gold in this mine is high quality and is used in electronics, temple
ornamentation, and jewelry.

Wern
The large continent of Wern is home to the large urban city of Lungau, a massive urban
sprawl of 110 million. This vast, laid out city surrounds the Lungau shipyards and
spaceport, a huge production operation and support facility for the Weerburg
Shipyards on Malor II. These ship building facilities are 58% automated, and the
remaining portions are tended by some of the greatest craftsmen in the known universe.
This facility produces all of the internal parts, circuits, plating, and interior components
of starships, and ships them monthly via automated bulk freighter to Malor II. Wern
has three ducillium mines in the central region, and three uronium mines: one in the far
north, one in the far south, and one on the west coast. The continent is rich in bara trees,
and Lungau is also home to three massive baracium factories.

Queboce
This small island continent is home to the city of Klagenfurt, a large urban spread of
about 29 Million. This city’s area is home to the Malneer Corporation, the second largest
conglomerate in the Sector. This corporation has its fingers in just about all galactic
affairs, but its primary purpose is the production and perfection of killing machines
such as Robots, Tanks, Orbital Craft, and Drones. The Malneer Factories at Klagenfurt
are the flagship of the Malorian people’s Oath to Government, a sacred promise made
by all Malorians at the age of reckoning (20) where a person knows his life path and
begins his 70 years of servitude to his nation, government, military component, or civil
service. A career in a corporation that serves the purposes of the Malorian Initiative is
considered civil service.

Sector Almanac A 2 10th Millennium©

14

Queboce is home to the 9th Malorian Naval Academy, a large military base where pilots,
navigators, crewmen, technicians, and all others are taught skills of navigating,
protecting, and conquering the expanses of space.
The continent has one Ducillium mine and sprawling bara tree forests.
Queboce, as well as the other continents, has hundreds of kilometers of beautiful
coastlines that are home to thousands of fishermen communities that harvest the
bounties of the seas on a daily basis.

Trade and Commerce

Malor I produces electronic circuitry, robots, and vehicles by the millions per year. She
produces spacecraft and starships by the thousands each year. Malor I’s automated
factories are the pride of the people.

Military/Defense:
The factories of Queboce mass produce a robot similar to the Moroni Battle Robot of
Ramaris fame called the New Soldier, the People’s Warrior, and many others. It’s
military designation is RT-1. Malor I has three spaceports: a Class A in orbit, a Class A
Weapons Station in orbit, and a huge Class B at Lungau.
The orbital weapons station of this world is armed with tech O and P weapons. The
orbital spaceport is a high tech and ritzy facility with fancy brothels offering women
from twelve worlds at ridiculous prices that only the rich can possibly afford.

Sector Almanac A 2 10th Millennium©

15

Major Languages
Malorian is the common tongue of Malor I. Aryan is spoken on spaceports as much as
Malorian; Familiar is spoken among slaves and servants as a norm.

Monetary Systems
The Malorian King’s Credit is the chief currency of all Malorian transactions, certainly
those of the state and its many agencies. The Federal Reserve Note is a paper currency
issued by local governments and used frequently. Slaves, primarily those of known
enemies, are prized and therefore good bartering material in all environments.

Major Technologies/Advancements
The automated factories and robotic improvements on Malor I are close to Tech level O
at the beginning of the 10th Millennium. Her large warships are armed with anti-matter
warheads, and 70% of her spacecraft is robot operated.

External Affiliations/Galactic Loyalties

Malor I is a member of the Malorian Initiative, the Aryan/Malorian Alliance, and the
Open Trade Agreement of 9989.

World Overview
Malor II is rivaled only by four other worlds in the known universe that have as much
influence on other sectors, and those are Earth, Atlas, Mars, and Persia. The massive
world of Malor II is the bulwark of the Malorian race, the home of its ruling class, and
the source of the concept of the Malorian Initiative. Malor II is a world that is blessed
with abundant resources, oceans teeming with thousands of species of aquatic wildlife,
and bara forests that stretch for thousands of kilometers on her vast continents.
Malor II has 16 moons, 7 of them being classified world size (5000 km or greater).
All of these moons are mining colonies, except Templin and Luckenwalde, these two
large moons are military bases, sensor array facilities, and weapons testing grounds.
Malor II observes Zulu time with the other worlds of the sector, but the world itself
observes 44 hour day cycles, and years with three seasons; Mabon, Beltane, and Yule of
62 days each, making a 186 day year.

Major Continents:

{Author’s note: Worlds like Malor II are of massive size. Only major cities are mentioned in
these texts. A “major” city on a world this size has no less than a population of 10 billion.}

Isine
This desert continent is home to the densely populated cities of Juterbog in the north
and Beelitz in the south, each a city of over 20 billion. The island continent is also home
to the massive Malneer Refineries and Manufacturing LLC; a facility that spans over
45% of the island’s land mass. Millions of tons of ore are brought here monthly from the
moons, and the refined products are sent to factories in the two industrial cities. This
massive corporation employs billions of employees, all of which must be pure
Malorians. The systems are also 30-40% automated.

18

Southern Islands
Velgast
The medium sized island of Velgast sits directly over the equator, so the island remains
a balmy 45-50 C year round. This island is home to the thickest jungles in the sector, and
it un-navigable on foot or by wheeled or tracked vehicle. The massive 9 th Marine Heavy
Division is located here; a force of 350,000 troops, 200 million robotic troops, and Six
Strike Drone wings of 64 drones each.
In the northern region, the Velgast Research Facility is located. This facility covers 6
square kilometers, is four floors above ground, and 38 floors underground. This facility
is renowned across the inner sectors as the reason why the Malorians are so hated by
many other races, as tale of the atrocities committed here are of legendary horrific
proportions.

Three Temples Island

This island sits in the Great South Ocean. It is also a jungle island, and neither vehicles,
spacecraft, or technology is allowed here. The island is home to the great temples of Isis,
Gargha, Cumbres, and Xenna.
Each temple is of equal size. They are all 10,000 square meters in area, and all their
temple peaks reach an astounding 300 meters in height. The temples are all made of
three minerals, Gold to symbolize royalty and wealth, polished Ducillium to symbolize
strength, and the purest dark red Ruby to symbolize the blood of their enemies.

The Temple of Isis

This beautiful temple is built in honor and worship of the great goddess Isis, the mother
of gods, the goddess of sacred marriage and the maiden of rulers. The temple is
adorned daily with fresh herbs and oils, and the massive statue of the goddess towers
over the garden of roses and herbs. The priestesses and acolytes of this goddess are all
female, pure Malorian, and virgins to death.
Sacrifices to Isis are performed every 13 days, in the evening, and the subjects are
always men of young ages, extremely physically fit and well endowed.

The Temple of Cumbres

This massive temple is colored and polished to pale blues and grays, symbolizing the
god of the seas and winds. Cumbres is the god of all fishermen across many worlds,
and arguably one of the most worshipped. The god does not demand sacrifices, just
offerings of the harvests of the sea. These offerings are placed upon the beaches near
this temple, and thousands of highly protected species of birds come to feast on the sea
life offered that day. The priests and acolytes of Cumbres are common looking men,
caretakers of sea life and bird sanctuaries.

Sector Almanac A 2 10th Millennium©

19

The Temple of Gargha

Gargha is the goddess of death and carnage. In the ancient tomes, Gargha comes to the
worlds surrounding the Malorians, and sweeps their enemies away with a great sword,
and banishes them to the hells, where they never die and are sickened with disease for
eternity. The statue of Gargha is a female warrior with large breasts, flowing milk white
hair, and shimmering blue eyes wielding a giant sword of polished ducillium.
The priests and priestesses and acolytes of Gargha are dressed in ornate armors and
ceremonial weapons of war, and on days of sacrifice, 30 slaves of hated enemy societies
are slashed and stabbed to death in a gruesome ceremony in the arena just below the
great statue.

The Temple of Xenna

Xenna is the god of mathematics, science, and perfection. His statue is of a very
physically fit and handsome young man in his teens studying a massive tome of
mathematical equations and chemistry problems. His temple is a complex array of walls
that are “decorated” with scientific, algebraic and geometric equations, extremely
complex language problems, and graphic depictions and renderings of the ancient
scrolls containing the Malorian letters, number systems, and suggestions for a good life.
Xenna does not demand sacrifices; he does not tolerate ignorance or disobedience.
The observation of this belief is the basis of Malorian society.

Kingsland
The massive volcanic continent is home to the Great Mountain of Cumbres, an ancient
volcano that has been dormant since the 97th Century. The volcano is located almost
mid-continent, the closest human habitation to it being Mondsee, a city of 11 billion
some 18,000 kilometers away.
Kingsland has five major cities: Mondsee in the southwest, Kitzbuhel in the deep south,
Kramsach out on the Great Estern Peninsula, and Grafenstein and Obertauern in the
north regions.
Grafenstein is the home of the King and his court. At the beginning of the 10 th
Millennium, the king is a leader of the people of his continent, and is contending with
the Senate to grant him Emperor status, and allow him to lead the Malorian Initiative, a
large scale movement that entails the Malorians and the Aryans controlling and
someday ruling the entire known universe.
Home to the King and the Senate.

Arya II
Arya II is a large island continent in the Great North Sea, an extremely cold body of
water that is home to the largest whales in the known universe. The Bowmen’s Whale is

Sector Almanac A 2 10th Millennium©

20

a species sub-order called Mysticeti on Earth, but the whales of this region are three
times the size of Earth’s largest specimens.
Arya II is so named because an eccentric Aryan noble was given this “kingdom” by the
Malorian Senate for her part in the Earth Federation Wars of the 98 th Century where the
Malorians were victorious in repelling the Federation out of the Eentar system of the
Lesper Sector. This noble was a key diplomatic official for the Earth Federation who
sold military secrets to the Malorians, and caused the death of over 100,000 Earth
Federation troops. She is called the “Great Traitor” on Atlas and Goliath.
This noble now has the title “Queen” on her island continent, and Aryans and
Malorians alike live in her capital city of Bad Ischi; the home of the Queen and her
courts. The citizens of the city and its surrounding suburbs and villages are employed
either on the military base, or in the vast fishing operations that are headquartered here
and reap the harvests of the north seas, a sprawling expanse of thousands of kilometers
of deep, frigid, crystal clear waters.

Cornege
This large continent in the warm southern oceans is mostly desert, and is home to the
great Weerburg Shipyards, a vast starship construction facility that spans over 2500
kilometers to the east and west of Weerburg, the largest city on Malor II. The city is
home to 29 Billion Malorians, and that populace is the bulwark of the shipyard and
spaceport’s workforce.
Cornege has five major cities: Weerburg in the central north, Alpbach in the far west,
Fugen in the east, and Ginzling and Radstadt in the southern regions.
The continent is host to three massive military bases, all with vast training facilities,
ranges, and test grounds. The Malorian army and navy are largely robotic, but each still
has a large force of human components also.
Radstadt is a city of 4 billion and one of the largest slave processing centers in the
known universe. Millions of slaves are brought here annually, processed on a grading
system, and sent to markets all over the world. The Radstadt Slave Auction is a monthly
event, where buyers from all over the system come to purchase all classes of slaves.
Slaves are typically classed miners, servants, whores, and specimens.
Radstadt’s port is towered over by the massive statue of Gargha, a monolithic work of
art standing a formidable 950 meters in height. This great idol is a reminder to the
millions of slaves in the processing centers below that the Malorians are the ruling race
of the Universe.

Botansia
This huge northern continent is home the Botans, a race of telepaths that of Malorian
and Botansa descent, their race having it’s beginning in the mid- 98th Century when a
vastly rich Malorian noble, lord Baron Kirk Archenkirch married a Botansa slave and
started a family of telepaths that became what is today a race of about 23 Million. The
Botansa were a race of dominant females with light brown skin and dark eyes. The
Malorian fell madly in love with his beautiful slave mistress, Sofia Malgara, and the rest
is history. The Botans were partially accepted into Malorian society in 9903, albeit they
are required to live in their own country, and not allowed places in government, as they
are not pure Malorians.
Botansia has a cool climate year round; winters can be cold but are not always.
The entire continent is densely forested, the ancient Jenbach trees live here; these trees
typically measure 15-22 meters at their trunk base, and grow to scaling heights of 300
meters. The wood from these massive trees is prized across many worlds, as it is crafted
for use in fine firearms and furniture, and many other expensive applications.
Botansia has five major cities; Fugen in the northeast, Archenkirch in the central region,
and Nafingalm, Finkenberg, and Hollenzen in the Southwest.
The Archenkirch Strategic Missile Command is located in the southeast region, it home
to over 400,000 troops and the command structure for all the deployed missile batteries
throughout the world and her moons.

The Moons of Malor II

This world’s moons play a major role in her defense, her industrial power, and her role
as a vanguard of knowledge on the outer systems.

Templin (11) and Luckenwalde (12)

These two large moons are military bases, sensor array facilities, and weapons testing
grounds. The sensor arrays on these moons are connected to hundreds of artificial
satellites that orbit this massive world, and while they monitor hundreds of star
systems, their primary focus is on those of their enemies.

Prenzlau (13), Angermunde (14), and Pasewalk (15)

These three large moons are rich in ducillium. These moons are mined by slaves and
robots. Automated barges transport their ores to the world below, Malor I, and the
Shadar System.

Strasburg (9), Cedynia (10), Eberswalde (16), Penkun (3), and Schwedt (1)
These five moons have deep uronium deposits that mined by slaves and robots.
Automated barges transport their ores to the world below for processing in the massive
refineries at Isine.

Dresden (6), Saxony (2), Brandenburg (5), Ludwigsfelde (7), Potsdam (8), and Spandau
(4).
These six moons are void of any industry, habitation or base. They do, however, each
support a long range sensor array for monitoring other sectors.

Trade and Commerce

Malor II prides itself commercially in the slave trade, the shipyards, and her massive
fishing industries. Malor II does not trade with the worlds of the Malorian Initiative;
those worlds are shared resources and their goods and services are divided between
them by the senate. Malor II does trade with Torton, Vani, and Dabria, but mostly with

Sector Almanac A 2 10th Millennium©

24

Mars and Venus. Five of the planet’s moons are mining colonies; each with a population
of 4-550,000 slaves, a military security detachment, and an partially automated mining
system. The moons are rich in ducillium, uronium, and to a much lesser extent, gold.

Military/Defense:
Malor II is probably one of the most well defended planets in the known universe after
Atlas and Dabria. She has an active space navy of over 13 Billion soldiers and airmen.
Her massive robot armies are unrivaled in the known universe, and the starship
facilities of the two worlds produce a minimum of 14 war ready starships annually.
Malor II is defended additionally by the largest orbital weapons station known to exist,
Kirkania Station, a military spaceport and weapon dreadnaught.

Major Languages
Malorian is of course the major language of Malor II. Aryan and Familiar are equally
spoken in many circles, and Botan on Botansia and on some spaceports as well.

Monetary Systems
The King’s Credit is the chief currency on this high tech and commercial world. Federal
Reserve Notes, coins, and slaves are all accepted forms of currency also.

Major Technologies/Advancements
Malor II has the only “floating spaceport” in the known universe.
This Class A facility is mounted on a city sized chassis and lifted by the most advanced
GMV technologies known to exist. The word “floating” has a double meaning, in that
the spaceport can “rest” on the ocean surface, on stable, flat land, or move and hover in
flight up to orbital altitudes.

External Affiliations/Galactic Loyalties

Malor II has an open treaty with the United Aryan Brotherhood of Mars, and open
trade agreements with all worlds of the Malorian Initiative.

Forwater

PRIMARY PLANETARY DATA

Name/ Map Designator Forwater (3)

Sector/System Located MaCumbrian/ Peene
Galactic Affiliation The Malorian Initiative
Geographical Data Class F world; 32,519 km equatorial distance
Major Continents Barth, Breege, Binz
Key Countries/Kingdoms Barth
Peak Tech Level N
Government/ Ruler Corporate Heads; Governor
Atmosphere Standard
Population 2.4 billion citizens, Approx. 1.8 billion slaves

World Overview
Forwater is a fairly small, frozen, extremely cold world. The world suffered a series of
collisions with eight asteroids between the years of 9920 and 9962. This cosmic activity
left the world with a thick, polluted atmosphere and a frozen surface. The world is dark
day and night, as no sunlight penetrates the heavily polluted clouds of toxic gases and
dust particles. Her average surface temperature is -40 C. As a world in the plan of the
Malorian Initiative, the cold surface of this world is slowly being heated by a process
called Terra-Therm, a system that is meant to allow easier harvesting of the world’s
water resources. As of 9986, the Obernauch Corporation of Malor II began heading the
mining and hydro harvesting of this dreaded planet.

Sector Almanac A 2 10th Millennium©

26

Major Continents:
The frozen, ice locked continents of this world are not named. It is said in ancient times
that the old inhabitants called them Vee, Forn, and Beekka. The Malorian colonists and
their slaves designate areas of the world as Sectors 1, 2, and 3. These are in descending
order from the north to the south.

Sector 1:
This ice locked continent is a landmass that suffers temperatures as low as -75 C. The
sector has three massive uronium mines, all with large veins of gold and platinum. The
Obernauch Corporation has built massive refineries, a mag-train system, and a small
domed city on the “continent” for the slave workers and their military guards to live in
warmth and relative comfort.

Sector Almanac A 2 10th Millennium©

27

Sector 2:
This large continent lies along the equator, and spans 90% of the globe east to west. The
sector has three cities inhabited by colonists, all which operate and maintain massive
agricultural systems that are built in domed warehouse type facilities scattered through
the continent. These massive bio-domes produce a yearly product of 7,000 megatons
per year as of 9995.

Sector 3:
This small continent is home to the 3rd Mechanized Infantry of the Malorian Army, led
by a small force of human officers and troops that are quartered here in a small domed
facility. The robot army of 250,000 troops is housed in underground berths, and can be
retrieved and deployed on short notice when needed.

Trade and Commerce

Agricultural products, uronium, and precious minerals are loaded via robot and
transported to Malor II on automated barges on a monthly basis. The trade and
commerce of this world is strictly to aid in the further advancement of the Malorian
Initiative. The Obernauch Corporation pays its salaries from these profits.

Military/Defense:
Forwater is guarded by fleets of the 12th Malorian Navy that are deployed here in
different periods of the year.

Major Languages
Familiar and Malorian are the languages of the colonists here. The slaves all speak an
ad-hoc version of Familiar that is based on their native languages and honed to a
common jargon.

Monetary Systems
The Malorian Bank Credit is used to pay mercenaries or contractors, otherwise there is
no need for currency on this world.

World Overview
Rentnor is a world that teemed with an abundance of aquatic life in her vast oceans; her
primitive natives being great sea faring fishermen for two millennia. In 7878, a class III
asteroid struck the world, and plummeted it into an ice age lasting over 1,900 years. In
9810, explorers from the Ramaris Sector visited here and called the planet Blackwater. It
was 300 years later when the Obernauch Corporation of Malor II sent probes to the
surface from the cruisers of the Eighth Galactic Expedition of the 9830’s. They claimed
the planet for mining and colonization, as there was no living human species present to
dispute the claim. The semi-frozen world has become a corporate mega-earner ever
since. The world is rich in fresh water, ducillium, bara trees, and uronium.

VII. The Shaddar System

Overview
The Shaddar System Conglomerate of Worlds (SCW) was founded in the 9758. This
“loose band” of struggling, warring worlds was brought under the conglomerate by
Alexander Olius, a powerful telepath that psionically held negotiations between these
worlds before they had the technologies to communicate or travel within the system.
Olius was a bright visionary that loved life, and hated war and greed. In 9722, the
Gideons of Olius II perfected the Sword Thrust Drive, a powerful engine that resembles
the Culpepper Drive. The Gideons use a plentiful fuel called Quebarium, a highly
volatile and very dangerous fuel. Three of the worlds of the Shaddar System are rich in
this resource. After years of war, the Shaddar System united under the banner of
Emperor Markus Haddar, a Shadarian with psionic powers. In 9802, Markus married
Nina Faralown, a peasant with incredible powers of suggestion and foresight, and she
became Empress Mary I. In 9810, the SCW was kept in place for trade purposes, but the
Shaddar System of worlds became the Great Shad Empire, named after the first ship
that traveled from Olius I to Meen. At the beginning of the 10 th Millennium, the SCW
(Shad) do not possess Transit Drive technology. They are at constant war with the
Malorians, who of course want their worlds for expansion. The Shadarians are a race
from Olius I, and the Gideons are from Olius II. These two dominant races were bitter
enemies because of the first invasion of 9730, where after millions died in the brutal war
that followed. Later in time (mid 9800’s) the old rivalries died with the haters and the
societies began to accept one another as galactic neighbors. The worlds of Olius I and II
are masters of the worlds of Meen and Teen. The Emperor calls those worlds “resource
and stock houses”. At the beginning of the 10th Millennium, the Emperor is faced with
the need to find a galactic partner, both to give him greater technologies, and to help
him defend his worlds. The Earth Federation has heard this cry and sends emissaries to
the Emperor…

World Overview
Olius I is a very large world that is warm to very hot year round, and suffers from a
serious lack of fresh water. If it were not for the fact that Meen is a water world with
vast fresh water pockets, this would likely be a dry and barren Malorian outpost. The
Shadarians of this world are a warring type of people, they worship the god of battle,
Fuchor, the deity that conquered the universe and gave it to warriors. The Shadarians
are fiercely loyal to this belief, and believe that the universe is here for the taking, and
that Fuchor will give it to them. In Shadarian society, women are servants to men, and
exist for pleasure, household chores, and bearing young. Shaddarians are by nature a
very hard working folk, they believe that labor is the tool that Fuchor gave them to keep
them fit and strong, thus being able to best their enemies.
Olius has four continents, and twelve territories are divided among them. Each territory
is governed locally by a territorial governor called a Haddin. These governors rule their
territories as wish, but are loyal and pay taxes to the Emperor at Riyahd.

Riyahd
This island continent lies in the center of the North Sea, a large body of water that is
both shallow and partially polluted. Riyahd is the seat of the Emperor and his beloved
Empress, in the city of Haddara on the southern coast. Riyahd is an island rich in
grasslands, natural fruit and nut forests, and most of the countryside outside of the
cities is uninhabited, except for farming communities that harvest its massive
vineyards. Her coastlines are lined with hundreds of small but very productive fishing
communities. Haddara is a city of 3.8 Billion citizens and over a billion slaves. Riyadh's
other cities are Al Ain in the northwest and Waset in the northeast. The island is
divided into three territories; each bears the name of its largest city.

Sector Almanac A 2 10th Millennium©

36

Dilam
Dilam is a large island continent that sits on the equator. It is mostly a jungle and
rainforest climate, and has four territories, each bearing the name of its largest city.
West to east her territories and largest cities are Pokarte (in the far west), Dhurma,
Bisha, Damman, and Badr. Dilam has the largest population on the planet, about 29
billion. Dilam is an agricultural giant.

Naam
The massive desert continent of Naam is home to five large mining operations; these
mines all produce fossil fuels, metals, and precious metals. Naam has three large cities,
all along the west coast. They are Abwa, Bahah, and Bareq. These cities are home to
about 8 billion citizens, most of them miners and craftsmen.

Dashtok
This gigantic continent lies in the far south and makes up 45% of the world’s landmass.
The continent is forested in the north, and has vast, highly polluted deserts in the south.
The cities of this continent are sprawling industrial giants, having many factories,
smelters, weapon manufacturing facilities, and ranges. The cities are Farasan, Duba,
Habala, Harmah, and Gerrha. The continent is home to five massive Quebarium mines,
each mine producing about 100 Million megatons of ore annually.

Trade and Commerce

Quebarium mining, agriculture, and fishing are the chief industries of Olius I.

Military/Defense:
Dashtok is home to the Shadarrian army and air force. These two entities consist of 13
heavy divisions apiece, making a military force of about 740 Million. The military has 4
armored divisions employing heavy particle lasers and advanced missile batteries. The
“air force” consists of conventional planes and helicopters, and the space navy consists
of 120 two hundred ton scout ships mounting particle lasers. The navy maintains a
purely defensive posture; it does not possess transit drive capability as of 10003.

Major Languages

Shadaran is the most common language of Olius I. Familiar and Gideus are spoken

World Overview
Olius II is a very large world with abundant resources, particularly fresh water. The
world is 87% water covered, and a large percentage of that is fresh or brackish.
The Gideons of Olius II are probably one of the most renowned and feared races in the
universe at the outset of the 10th Millennium. Their goddess is Gargha, the goddess of
death and carnage. The terrible and beautiful image of this pagan goddess is the symbol
of all Gideon ideologies, and Gideon children are taught from birth that Gargha will
reward them handsomely with riches beyond measure if they kill her enemies and give
her their blood as an offering. It is completely coincidental that the Gideons share a
patron goddess with the Malorians, and each race believes the other to be Gargha’s
“lesser servants”, a class of society that they have the right to rule. The version of
Gargha in Gideon society not only observes her as the great warrior and slayer, but the
protector of children and perfect mother model, a feared but loving woman that feeds
her children from her massive breasts.
Olius II is rich in a tree that produces a hard wood that is similar to ivory, and one
meter statues of Gargha are made in factories by the hands of slaves for every home in
Gideon society to have a statue in their home. Rich Gideons have larger statues atop
their roofs made of shiny metals, minerals, and many other materials.

Sector Almanac A 2 10th Millennium©

Olius II is governed and advised by a council of elders in the city of Qatif in the
southern Khaybar Territory. However, the senior male in every family in Gideon
society is considered a ruler in his own right, and the size of his family gives him
greater social status and higher privilege.
Millions of slaves are bred on Olius II yearly, because thousands of them are killed in
arena games by warriors and priests, all tribute to the almighty and always blood
thirsty Gargha.

therefore baracium doesn’t exist. Khaybar has six major cities, each having a staggering
population of 4-5 billion people each, as well as thousands of slaves that are used for
intensive labor purposes. Khaybar’s major cities are Rabigh and Rumailah in the north,
Qatif, Ar Rass and Qadeimah in the central sector, and Rafha in the deep south. Rafha is
home to the spaceport where all imports and exports come and go. The facility is as
much a massive seaport as well as a spaceport. Khaybar has large slave breeding camps
and processing centers for dispersing slaves to the other continents for work as well as
to Olius I.
The city of Qatif I is home to the Council of Elders, a body of 100 men and women of
elderly ages that advise the populace on all matters and keep peace with the Emperor at
Olius I.

Al-Khutt
This fertile island continent is home to the largest vegetable plantations in the system.
This entire continent and its island neighbor produce millions of tons of produce
annually, and its prime products even go to the Emperor’s table on Olius I.
Over 3 billion slaves are employed on this continent for harvesting, farming, and
fertilization. The major cities of Shaybah and Tarout are home to 2 billion citizens. The
slaves live in massive labor camps all over the continent.

Mastoorah
The Isles of Mastoorah are desert islands that are used by the military for training and
weapon testing. The two military basses here are charged with the defense of the planet;
the spaceport here sending flights to orbit and Olius I weekly.
New weapons are tested on the central island monthly.
The lone city of Turaif is home to about 112,000 citizens; all are workers on the military
bases and testing facilities, or spaceship technicians who work on the spaceport.

Trade and Commerce

Fishing is the prime commerce of this planet. Her massive oceans produce millions of
tons of sea products monthly. Slaves are the secondary commerce of Olius II.

Military/Defense:
The world has six massive military bases. Three are on Khaybar, one on Al-Khutt, and
two on the Isles of Mastoorah. These bases all have mixed military components (army,
navy, special forces). Each base has at least 2 heavy infantry divisions, a large air force
with conventional and space vehicles, and at least one armored division.
Thousands of conscriptions are obtained from Meen each year, typically chosen from
very healthy slaves of military caliber.

World Overview
Meen is a small world previously inhabited by the Anivians and Arguns for the a
period dating back to at least 7300, but there are no records, written or otherwise,
because neither race has a complete written language, and 80% or more of their societies
are illiterate. The Anivians were a warring race of barbaric nomads that inhabited the
large island continent of Aniva, a heavily forested land with hundreds of wild sheep
and cattle. The Anivians were hunter gatherers for several millennia, until the
expeditions of Randall Cook in the 98th Century instructed them how to make iron, and
a race of swordsmen was born. The Anivians constructed wooden ships in the early
99th Century, and began invading the timid and non-warring Arguns in the “North

Major Continents:
Aniva
This forested continent is rich with livestock, two species of hoofed herbivores that
satisfy the palate of the poor and rich alike. The subjects here have been conquered and
beaten into submission, their glory filled days of conquest long over.
The healthy and strong men of the Anivians are conscripted into the Empire’s Armies at
age 15, and serve until age 55 or death; “lesser” men are left to be shepherds and mine
workers. The beautiful Anivian women are similarly categorized at age 18, either to be
concubines, servants, or handmaidens; the less fortunate are left to be cooks and slaves
to the miners and military forces that are present.

Argun
This large desert and mountainous continent is home to seven deep Quebarium mines,
all operated by the citizenry of Aniva. The entire continent of Argun is a polluted
wasteland, and littered with thousands of mine shafts, old equipment, derricks, and
abandoned villages. There is a railroad that runs to all the mines, and steam powered
trains run 24 hours a day to take workers to and from the mines.
Argun has huge refineries on her south coasts; they are worked around the clock to
process the fuels for the navy and the communities of Aniva.
There are two massive causeways built across the water strait between the continents; it
took the people of the world almost two hundred years to build these marvels of
primitive engineering.

Trade and Commerce

The Shad Empire monitors and supports the production activities of the massive
Quebarium mines. The fuel produced from them is highly critical to the space navy, the
only defense against the Malorians who would make the Shad Empire slave colonies.

Military/Defense:
The Empire has tankers and military ships in orbit of this world at all times. There is a
defense plan in place for Meen, but it is not adequate to defeat a full Malorian invasion,
something that the people say will happen in the first century of the 10 th Millennium.

the only non-ice cap land masses on the planet. The Danilov understand that the
Gideons come here 3-4 times per year, take sea products, and leave. Slaves are not taken
from this world, and men are not conscripted for military service. This policy maintains
a peace accord that works for all parties. The Danilov are a peace loving folk, and thrive
in their primitive ways of life, taking from and giving to the seas.

islands in the seas immediately surrounding the big islands, and they are sparsely
inhabited by the Danilov.

Trade and Commerce

The Danilov trade among themselves, and assist the Gideons in collecting their sea

VIII. Special Feature One

Barriman’s Rift (10)

Barriman’s Rift is a massive galactic feature that spans two sectors of space.
This gargantuan rift spans one third of the Rearewerd/Nearewerd quadrant of the
Lucan Sector and extends to the Rearewerd edge of the Peene System in the
MaCumbrian Sector. This rift is vastly different from the rifts in the surrounding sectors
in that it has a nucleus of sorts; a magnetic field containing trillions of tons of particles
giving it the scientific properties of an asteroid field; although not by proper definition.
The rift is not navigable by any known means of travel that exist in the early 10th
Millennium universe. Starships that have attempted it are shredded by magnetic storms
and added to the dense core that makes up the solid space of this galactic wonder. At
the beginning of the 10th Millennium, hundreds of scientists from six sectors study this
rift attempting to learn its secrets.

IX. Special Feature Two

The Cook Asteroid Belts (11)

This massive group of asteroids slowly orbits the Moloch System Star in a 26 month
cycle. The asteroid field covers a massive expanse of space that measures over 160
trillion kilometers at its farthest points. The belt is navigable by spacecraft and starship,
although it might prove a daunting task for even the most skilled helmsmen.
