1.What is volleyball?

Volleyball, game played by two teams, usually of six players on a side, in which the players use
their hands to bat a ball back and forth over a high net, trying to make the ball touch the court
within the opponents' playing area before it can be returned.

2. Differentiate rally scoring from side out scoring.

In rally scoring, the winning team of a given rally, or sequence of plays that begins with a serve
and ends with a point, is awarded a point. Only the serving team can receive points when they
win a rally in side out scoring. Sets are played to a maximum of 25 points, with a two-point
margin of victory required.

3.How is volleyball scored?

When a team wins a rally, they earn a point. They accomplish this in one of two ways. You
score a point if your team sends the ball over the net and the opposing team fails to return it.
You can also score a point if the opposing team hits the ball outside of the court's designated
boundaries.

5. What is a libero?

The game of volleyball. One modification resulted in the libero, a defensive specialist on each
team. The libero is distinguished from the rest of the team by wearing a different color and is not
permitted to serve or rotate to the front.

Volleyball court 18 meters (59 feet) long and 9 meters (29.5 feet) wide, divided into two 9 m × 9 m halves by a one-
meter (40-inch) wide net placed so that the top of the net is 2.43 meters (7 feet 11 5/8 inches) above the center of the
court for men's competition, and 2.24 meters (7 feet 4 1/8 inches) for women's competition
