1.What is volleyball?
Volleyball, game played by two teams, usually of six players on a side, in which the players use
their hands to bat a ball back and forth over a high net, trying to make the ball touch the court
within the opponents' playing area before it can be returned.
In rally scoring, the winning team of a given rally, or sequence of plays that begins with a serve
and ends with a point, is awarded a point. Only the serving team can receive points when they
win a rally in side out scoring. Sets are played to a maximum of 25 points, with a two-point
margin of victory required.
When a team wins a rally, they earn a point. They accomplish this in one of two ways. You
score a point if your team sends the ball over the net and the opposing team fails to return it.
You can also score a point if the opposing team hits the ball outside of the court's designated
boundaries.
