1. Mcluhan's ideal of a "global village", I believe, has become a reality. Regardless of age or place,
media and globalization have brought us all closer together. However, by spreading the notion of
economic injustice, political repression, and cultural strife over the world, Mumford's worst
nightmare was realized. It raises the prospect that anything may trigger a conflict.

You may have observed how globalization has had a huge impact on our culture in the Philippines.
Prior to the arrival of the colonizer, our beliefs and practices were significantly different from what
we now do. Our writing system was originally "Baybayin," but we now use Latin Alphabets as the
standard. Globalization has resulted in cultural convergence, which has led to the unintended
abandonment of our unique ideals and behaviors.

2. Individuals may use global media to express themselves and reach their intended audience. Many
people communicate information in politics in order to favor a particular party. There are times
when it sparks a debate amongst people who have opposing viewpoints. Global media makes
journalists more vulnerable. Some of them have been slain without justice as a result of the
knowledge they distribute throughout the world. They are threatened by a variety of factors
competing for riches and power, such as the government or many groups around them. Jose Rizal is
a national hero of the Philippines who fought with the use of media. He created stories that inspired
many Filipinos to fight back against the invaders in order to reclaim their nation and the freedom
they deserve. Global media has no restrictions on its use, yet it costs something more precious than
money.

3. The message of modern social media is to use it for a better purpose. Let us not utilize it to live in a
"global community" that contains Mumford's worst nightmare; instead, let us focus on establishing
the "global village" that McLuhan envisioned, where it would bring a paradise where people live
together in harmony under the condition of universal comprehension to each other.
