Most Essential LO2. Prepare a Variety of Sandwiches


Learning Competency
Objectives 1. Identify the basic components of a sandwich;
2. recognize the importance of each component; and
3. create their own sandwich by observing the proper
arrangement/ placement of its components.
Content Topic: Basic Components of a Sandwich
Reference: (LM, SLeM, DepEd TV, DepEd Common, YouTube Video)
Materials: PowerPoint presentation, LM/ SLeM, cellphone, laptop,
projector, visual aids, etc.

PROCEDURE
Preliminary Activities • Greetings;
• Prayer;
• Checking the cleanliness of the classroom; and
• Checking attendance and PPE.
Review JUMBLED LETTER/ PUZZLE
Directions: Read and analyze each item carefully. Arrange the jumbled
letters to reveal what is being defined in every box. Raise your hand if
you know the answer, then write your answer on the board. After
revealing those answers inside the box, there will be a bigger puzzle
that will be formed. Ask the student what is being shown then have a
short recall about it.
(Ask questions about time and temperature conversion) *Mathematics
Motivation SING & DANCE
Direction: The students will be singing and dancing a nursery rhyme
entitled, “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes” by Pop Babies.
Guide Questions:
1. What is being mentioned in the song?
2. In totality those are __________________.
3. How amazing does our body parts are arranged?
(Discuss some parts and their uses and/or functions) *Science
(Guide the students to the goodness of our Creator in designing us
wonderfully & fearfully)
4. So, what we did was sing and dance, did you know that *in Music,
a musical note is being discussed? And each note has also its parts
and functions? Cite an example.
5. Based on our activity, what do you think is our lesson for today?

There will be a set of pictures of ingredients for each group.
(show an example, let the students count the ingredients under each
component)
Directions: Analyze each ingredient, arrange and paste them onto a
manila paper to create a sandwich. Then put a label on each ingredient
if in what component they belong. Lastly, indicate what type and
category of a sandwich is being formed.
The group that will work silently and cooperatively will have an extra
point.

Generalization Students must complete the statement, “Today I’ve learned…”
