TLE DEPARTMENT
First Quarter – Remedial Class

I. Objectives
This remediation program aims to:
a. give a material/s to the students who did not successfully pass the said quarter;
b. help the struggling students to process the information from their module to further
understand the lesson in the simplest way; and
c. allow the students to answer the activity sheets (in a given period) as an aid for
them to pass the failed quarter.

II. Procedure
a. I will inform the adviser about this remediation program and give him/her the list
of students who MUST take the said program. The communication of the adviser
with the parents of his/her advisory class regarding this matter is a great help
indeed.
b. The remediation materials will be sent online via messenger, however, the students
might also request a hard copy and get a copy at the school;
c. A (1) one-week allotment for the students to work on the activity sheet will be given
right after they received the said materials, FAILURE to submit their;
d. The activity sheets can be sent back online via messenger or in a hard copy by
sending it to the school.
e. Once done checking with their activity, I will now communicate to the adviser
regarding the changes with the student’s grades for this quarter.

III. Computation of Grade


There will be (4) sets of activities as follows:
Activity no. 1: (5) five points
WRITTEN WORKS 40%
Activity no. 2: (5) five points
Activity no. 3: (9) nine points
PERFORMANCE TASKS 60%
Activity no. 4: (11) eleven points
TOTAL OF 100% TOTAL OF 30 points

Activity no. 1: Arrange the Fundamental Cleaning Procedures
Directions. Arrange the following steps chronologically. Use A for the first step, B for the second
step, and so on. Write your answer in the space provided.

_____ 1. Cleaning Cycle – the removal of residual food soils from equipment surfaces is based on
the manipulation of the four basic cleaning factors and the method of cleaning. Typically,
alkaline chemical solutions are used for the cleaning cycle.
_____ 2. Scrape and Pre-rinse – soiled equipment surfaces are scraped and rinsed with warm water
to remove loose food soils.
_____ 3. Acid Rinse – a mild acid rinse of the equipment neutralizes any alkaline residues left and
removes any mineral soil present.
_____ 4. Rinse – rinse all surfaces with cold to hot water, depending on the temperature of the
cleaning cycle, to thoroughly remove all remaining chemical solution and food soil
residues.
_____ 5. Sanitize – all equipment surfaces are rinsed or flooded with a sanitizing agent. Both time
and chemical concentration is critical for optimum results.
