Welcome to this module on comparing and contrasting.

Welcome to this module on comparing and contrasting information's read.

This module is intended to help you, learners, understand and master the concepts of
comparing and contrasting. It is designed to equip you with essential knowledge about the
said topic and skills on comparing and contrasting.

HOW TO USE THIS MODULE

This module contains several lessons. To make the most out of them, you need to do the
following:
1. Scan the list of Learning Objectives to get an idea of the knowledge and skills you are
expected to gain and develop as you study the module. These outcomes are based on the
content standards, performance standards, and learning competencies of the K to 12
Curriculum English 3.

with an activity that will help you understand the lesson and meet the required
competencies.

School Helpers

School helpers are very important in the order and cleanliness of a


school. Roni and Rona are the two helpers of a school. Roni sweeps the
ground everyday. He teaches the children how to use the trashcan
properly.

Rona is also a school helper. She waters the flowers in the different
areas of the school. She also tells the children not to pick the beautiful
flowers.

learned that homographs are two or more words that are spelled the same but

spelling have different meanings and origins.

What is It?

To Compare is to look for similarities of two objects being compared


while to Contrast is to find out the differences between the two. Things
maybe similar and different in size,
shape, color, texture, smell, movement etc.

We can compare and contrast objects by using the different illustrations


below.

relationship among things. It helps to visually represent the similarities and
differences between two concepts.
