3. Installation & Usage


3.1 Paper Loading
Push ‘both knobs’ of cover upward to open and put the paper roll into the printer and, close
cover. Make sure that the paper cutting direction is correct like picture ④

CAUTION:
1) Don’t touch the print head. It can be very hot after printing continuously for a long time.
2) Make sure that the paper direction is correct

Correct Wrong
The recommended the diameter of paper roll is 55mm (Max. 60mm)

3.2 Supplying Power to Printer


Insert ‘Power supply connector’ into the ‘power port’ (red circle)

3.3 Interface Cable Connection


Prepare dedicated Serial cable. Insert ‘9 pin end’ into ‘Serial port’ (red circle). Connect the other
end of the cable to the device to be connected

3.4 How to do Self test

The self test lets you know if your printer is operating properly. It checks the control circuits,
printer mechanisms, print quality, and ROM version.
Running the self test
1. Make sure the printer is ‘off’ and the printer covers are closed properly.
2. Make sure a paper roll has been installed properly
3. Press and hold ‘feed button’ and then turn on the power.
The self test receipt shows the printer settings.

4. Printer Status
◎ Power LED
Status Description
Power LED is “On” Power light is “Green LED “and Printer is ready to work
Power LED is ”Off” Power Supplier is not connected with printer or Power
switch is off.

◎ Error LED
Status Description
ERROR LED is “On” Paper is not loaded properly or no paper.
Printer top cover is not closed properly.

◎MSR reading
Status Description
ERROR LED flashes one time and Card reading is Good
buzzers one time
ERROR LED flashed two times Card reading is Bad
and buzzers two times

5. Troubleshooting
This chapter gives solutions to some printer questions you may have.
◎ The lights on the control panel do not come on.
Make sure that the power supply cables are correctly plugged into the printer, the power unit,
and to the power outlet.

◎ The ERROR light is “ON”


1) Make sure that the printer top cover is properly closed. If the ERROR light is still “ON”
although printer top cover is closed properly, contact a qualified service person.
2) The paper roll is not installed. Install a new paper roll.

6. Cleaning
If the interior of printer is mess the printing quality can be bad. In such case please follow the
instruction below to clean the printer. Before cleaning the printer, disconnect the power supply
and make sure that the printer is off.
1) How to clean the print head
Wipe print head with a small cloth which moistened with alcohol (Take care not to touch
the heated line of the print head)
2) How to clean the paper sensor
Use air-spray to blow dust on paper sensor

7. Warning
A. Do not operate the printer near water or liquid. The printer has been exposed to
water or liquid.
B. Only use approved accessories. It may cause fire or damage on printers.
C. Use the type of electrical power supply indicated on the printer label, if in doubt,
do not use.
D. When deciding where to place the printer, make sure it is positioned where it will
not be damaged.
E. Do not introduce foreign object of any kind into the printer as they could cause
a short circuit and could jeopardize printer, with the exception of the scheduled maint
enance procedures specifically indicated in the user manual.

8. Contact to your retailer


- Liquid has seeped inside of the printer
- The printer has been exposed to rain or water.
- The printer is not functioning normally despite the fact the all instructions
in the user manual have been followed.
- The printer has been dropped and its outer casing damaged.
- Printer performance is poor.
- The printer is not functioning.
