Frank: I don’t know. I wanted to vote for Greenwood, but I don’t think she’ll win.
Jemma: Yeah, Greenwood seems to really care about ordinary working families. I don’t
know why she isn’t doing very well.
Frank: It’s probably because she isn’t raising as much money as the others. She doesn’t have
as much money to spend on events and advertisements, and all that kind of thing, as Satari
does. His adverts are on TV 24/7.
Jemma: Yes, you’re probably right. Jill said she went to one of Greenwood’s fundraising
events at a hotel near the riverfront and there was hardly anyone there. Just a few people
hanging out at the bar.
Jemma: She doesn’t really seem to be making an impact on people around here.
Frank: Well, I’m not very happy about it, but it looks like Satari will win.
Jemma: I don’t know. I’m convinced the newspapers will find something bad or illegal that
he did in the past, and then he’ll be finished.
Frank: That’d definitely be good news for Greenwood. We’ll have to wait and see. I don’t
understand why some people like Satari so much.
Jemma: Me neither. It’s strange. A lot of women don’t like Satari though. If he can get more
women to vote for him, he’ll definitely win.
Frank: Yeah, I think the way women vote will be really important this time.
Jemma: I can’t believe there’s still another two months to go until the election.
Frank: I know what you mean. I’ve already had enough of hearing about it all the time.
Jemma: Maybe you can try turning your television off and going offline this weekend. It
might help you take a break from it all!
