Soriano
Ricardo Palma Soriano, was a renowned Peruvian writer. He was born on February 7, 1833
in Lima and died on October 6, 1919, at the age of 86 in Lima, he was an admirable and
intelligent character. One of his important works was Peruvian Traditions, which constituted a
set of historical fiction stories, characterized by having a full popular language. of sayings,
songs, verses and among others. He was director of the National Library of Peru for a long
period of 29 years.
