CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
In today’s world, violent act against the children has increased unprecedently and the victims
are found in dangerous conditions, where they cannot take the cell phone to contact the family
members or police. In recent days, children can’t roam freely due to some type of misuse and a fear
of ferocity. Even though so many safety devices have been offered by the emerging technology and
still it is happening in many places. The key idea planned in this paper is based on an advanced
technology that offers “Design of wearable device for Child Safety” to safeguard the children and
this planned structure will be highly effective from other existing techniques in helping the victims.
The device obtains IOT monitoring and GSM module keeps monitoring the children anytime. The
method has sensors and interfaced with the processor, which keeps sensing the vibrant signals such
as beat rate, temperature, etc. whenever some risky conditions be caused by there may be an
indication to parental. When the person crosses the zone (say a school zone) unfortunately due to
some accident, then this method automatically sends the information to the parental. The inspiration
for developing the wearable device comes from the improving requirement for protection for small
children in recent periods as there can be a condition of the kid getting missing in the highly packed
zones. In recent days, accident happens lot and missing children are rapidly improving.
CHAPTER 3
Problem Definition
The overall percentage of child abusements filled nowadays in the world is about 80%, out of which
74% are girl children and the rest are boys. For every 40 seconds, a child goes missing in this
world. So there should be some mechanism to help as part of their security.
CHAPTER 4
Methodology Followed
Schematic representation of the proposed approach is specified Arduino UNO Atmega 328p
microcontroller performance like an entrenched calculating device and it reins the actions of all the
subsystems. It is being interfaced with all the other modules of the device such as Heartbeat and a
temperature sensor, MEMS accelerometer, GPS and GSM Module and also with IOT Module. The
number of times the heart beats per minute (BPM), is referred as heart beat rate and the beat of the
heart that can be sensed in any artery that deceits close to the skin is the pulse, and is determined by
heartbeat sensor. MEMS devices are, becoming more popular because of its smaller size, less mass
and volume, very less power intake, less cost, easy to integrate into systems or modify, small
thermal constant, can be highly strong to vibration, shock and radiation, can be fabricated in large
arrays, improved thermal expansion tolerance and parallelism. GPS stands for "Global Positioning
System." GPS is a satellite navigation system used to locate the position of any location. IOT
devices are realized with both hardware and software modules. Particular hardware components are
used to appliance the interface with the physical world, and in turn it performs tasks which are more
computationally complex. The Proposed device is connected with server via internet, which helps to
real time tracking of their children. The intended solution proceeds the advantage of finding the
absolute location of the kid by GPS service and the information is updated to the end user, i.e, their
parent or relatives of the children through the mobile application and also through SMS.
