1. What do you know about the term of TEUs?
The twenty-foot equivalent unit (often TEU or teu) is an inexact unit of cargo capacity
often used to describe the capacity of container ships and container terminals.
2. How do you diffrentiate the terms of harbour and port?
Port is a commercial water facility used for ships and their cargo. A harbor is a place of
safety for ships and other waterborne vessels. A harbor is a mooring place and offers
safe anchorage for the ships. Harbors and ports can be man-made or natural.

Management function :
Planning : One main role of a manager is creating a plan to meet company goals and
objectives
Organizing : Along with planning, a manager's organizational skills can help to ensure
a company or departmental unit runs smoothly.
Leading : Managers should be comfortable and confident commanding their team
members’ daily tasks as well as during periods of significant change or challenge. 
Controlling : To ensure all of the above functions are working toward the success of a
company, managers should consistently monitor employee performance, quality of
work, and the efficiency and reliability of completed projects.

II. VOYAGE REPORT (Model 1-2): (45) a = 15


a. Write compositions of voyage reports model 1 and 2 with the following information,

1. 29/10/15 - MT. Boston - Greek Flag - Durban to Mumbai - crude oil - Mozambique
and Mombasa - Indian Ocean - India - 12 days of voyage - 5 days unloading -
16/11/06 return.

On October the twenty ninth 2006, the MT. Boston under the Greek Flag left
Durban to Mumbai with a cargo of crude oil. She called at Mozambique and
Mombassa, and then sailed straight across the Indian Ocean to India. Her voyage
twelve days. She spent five days unloading the cargo in the harbor of Mumbai and
began her return voyage on November the sixteenth 2006.
Pada tanggal dua puluh sembilan Oktober 2006, MT. Boston di bawah Bendera
Yunani berangkat dari Durban ke Mumbai dengan membawa kargo minyak
mentah. Dia mengunjungi Mozambik dan Mombassa, dan kemudian berlayar
langsung melintasi Samudra Hindia menuju India. Pelayarannya selama dua belas
hari. Dia menghabiskan lima hari membongkar muatan di pelabuhan Mumbai dan
memulai pelayaran kembali pada tanggal enam belas November 2006.

2. 16/06/17 - passenger liner - MV. Rising Star - British Flag - Southampton - the
UK - Naples - Italy - English Channel - Bay of Biscay - West Coast of Portugal -
Lisbon - Straits of Gibraltar - Mediterranean Sea - Naples.

On June 16, 2007, the passenger liner, the MV. Rising Star under the British Flag
left the port of Southampton in the UK for Naples in Italy. She sailed across
English Channel, through the Bay of Biscay and along West Coast of Portugal. She
calling at Lisbon. Then she sailed through the Straits of Gibraltar and across the
Mediterranean Sea to Naples.

Pada 16 Juni 2007, kapal penumpang, MV. Rising Star di bawah Bendera Inggris
meninggalkan pelabuhan Southampton di Inggris menuju Napoli di Italia. Dia
berlayar melintasi Selat Inggris, melalui Teluk Biscay dan sepanjang Pantai Barat
Portugal. Dia sandar di Lisbon. Kemudian dia berlayar melalui Selat Gibraltar dan
menyeberangi Laut Mediterania menuju Napoli.

3. A voyage of your own scenario (Model 1 or 2).


On June 26, 2019, the Crude Oil Tanker, the MT. Polaris Bear under the Indonesian
Flag left the port of Cilacap in the Java Island for Bintuni in Papua. She sailed across
Lombok Channel, through the Makasar bay and along Banda Sea. Then she sailed
through the Straits of Ambon and across the Seram Sea to Bintuni.
Pada tanggal 26 Juni 2019, Kapal Tanker Minyak Mentah, MT. Polaris Bear
berbendera Indonesia meninggalkan pelabuhan Cilacap di Pulau Jawa menuju
Bintuni di Papua. Dia berlayar melintasi Selat Lombok, melalui teluk Makasar dan
sepanjang Laut Banda. Kemudian dia berlayar melalui Selat Ambon dan
menyeberangi Laut Seram menuju Bintuni.
