Dear Parent,

We are happy to announce Orchids Super Singer - a solo singing competition for grades 1
to 10.
Purpose -The purpose of the Orchids Super Singer competition is to provide students with an
opportunity to showcase their singing talents and to promote a culture of music.

Our Goal- Music is an integral part of the Art Education curriculum. We primarily focus on
developing creativity and interest in music through various musical skills. The objective of this
competition is to ensure ● Students develop confidence and put their best foot forward.
● Students get to creatively explore music within and beyond the curriculum.
● Enable them to self-assess their strengths and weaknesses as a singer.

Eligibility-The competition is open to all students from grades 1 to 10.

Process- There will be 3 rounds:

Auditions-April Qualifiers-July

Zonals-November
Round 1: Auditions will be held by the music teachers during the regular music session in the week
of 17th-21st April, to determine the participants for the next round. Students will be asked to sing a
favorite song for not more than 1 minute. There will be no language barrier, however the lyrics should be
age appropriate. The top scorer from each section will participate in the next round.
Round 2: Qualifiers will be held at the branch level where selected top 1 students from each section
will compete on stage with backing track. In this round, winners from each grade will be announced who
will represent their branch in the final round i.e. zonal level. Date will be released in June.

Round 3: Zonals will be held at the city level in the month of November. For each grade, a winner will
be announced and titled as the Orchids Super Singer of that zone.

Criteria for performance, selection and execution guidelines will be communicated before every
round. Encourage your child to participate and learn the skills of solo performance.
