• AFTER MARKING, INDICATE TOTAL MARKS TO MOTIVATE LEARNERS.
• LEARNERS MUST BE MONITORED IN DOING REMEDIAL WORK IN CASE SOME
ANSWERS WERE NOT CORRECT.
• REMEDIAL WORK TO BE MARKED BY THE TEACHER.
ANALYSIS OF RESULTS

• THIS INCLUDES STATISTICAL AND DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSIS.


• TO BE DONE AFTER THE TASK HAS BEEN MARKED.
• HELPS TO IDENTIFY THE GAPS AND COMMON ERRORS THAT LEARNERS HAVE
DISPLAYED AS PER TASK ADMINISTERED.
• THE ITEM ANALYSIS/ TOGETHER WITH MUST INFORM THE SUBJECT
IMPROVEMENT PLAN.
SUBJECT IMPROVEMENT PLAN

• IT MUST BE COMPILED BY THE SUBJECT TEACHER AND BE SUBMITTED TO THE


DH AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR.
• IT MUST BE REVIEWED AS PER TIME FRAME DISPLAYED IN THE SIP.
• IT MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING: PROBLEMATIC AREAS, ACTIVITIES,
PERFOMANCE INDICATORS,TIME-FRAME AND PROGRESS (NAMELY SUCCESSES,
CHALLENGES AND MITIGATING CIRCUMSTANCES).
RECOVERY PLAN/CATCH UP PLAN

• INFORMED BY CURRICULUM LOSSES FROM FUNDAMENTAL CONTENT AND SKILLS/TRIMMED ATPs/ ATTENDANCE
MODELS CHOSEN BY SCHOOLS.

• THE PLAN MUST BE PROPORTIONAL TO TIME LOST.

NB: SOME OF THE ABOVE SKILLS ARE NEEDED AS PRIOR KNOWLEDGE TO TEACH THE NEW TOPICS IN THE RECOVERY
ATPs.

• THE HAND OVER TOOL WILL BE USEFUL IN IDENTIFYING THE LOST SKILLS FROM THE PREVIOUS GRADE.
• SCHOOLS WITH GRADE 8 MUST GET HANDOVER TOOLS (GRADE 7) FROM THEIR FEEDER PRIMARY SCHOOLS.
• THE CONTENT AND ACTIVITIES CAN BE OBTAINED FROM NECT LESSON PLANS/DBE LESSON PLANS AND
TEXTBOOKS.

• THERE MUST BE A DOCUMENT THAT CLEARLY INDICATES THE TOPICS/SKILLS LOST, DURATION AND TIME FRAME.
