How to Solve A 3*3 Rubik’s Cube
Layer 1: The White Edges
& Corners Placed
Correctly
Step – 1, Place & Solve the White
Edges
Algorithm(s)
1.Edge Colour Interchange – B’ R’ B U’
2.Two – R2 L2 U2 D2

How to Solve & Place the White Edges

1.Take all the white edges to the yellow colour
side.
2.Match the other colours to their respective
center blocks.
3.If the white colour side is not facing the yellow
face use the ‘Edge Colour Interchange’ algo to
make it face the yellow colour.
4.Lastly use the ‘Two’ algo to bring the edges to
the white colour face.
Step – 2, Solve & Place the White
Corners
Algorithm(s)
1.Righty Alg – R U R’ U’
2.Lefty Alg – L’ U’ L U

How to Solve & Place the White

Corners
Conditions –
1. Always make sure that the white
colour corner piece that you want to
insert has its white colour on the
green, blue, orange, or red face, if
so, repeat the right or lefty alg two
times respective to where the piece
is.
2. Also, any colour of any white
corner piece should not be on the
white colour side, if so, then
perform the right or lefty alg one
time respective to where the piece
is.
Solving -
1. Face the green, blue, orange, or
red side respective to the piece you
are inserting.
2. If the white colour of the piece is
on the left, then do the lefty alg once
& if the white colour of the piece is
on the right, then perform the righty
alg.
3. Like this insert all the pieces one
by one.
Layer 2: Solving the Edges of
The Green, Red, Blue &
Orange Colours
Step Taken, Solve the edges of
the Green, Red, Blue & Orange
Colours
Algorithm(s)
1.Righty Edge Alg – U R U R’ U’ ( Turning the
cube to the right side ) L’ U’ L
2.Lefty Edge Alg – U L U L’ U’ ( Turning the cube
to the left side ) R’ U’ R

How to Solve & Place the Green, Red,

Orange & Blue Edges
Conditions -
1.Make sure that the edge you are solving, or
inserting does not have white or yellow in it.
2.The edge piece should also match its colour
with the center piece
Solving –
1.If the edge you are solving is to be inserted at
the right side, then perform the ‘Righty Edge
Alg’.
2. And if the edge that you are solving is to be
inserted at the left side, then perform the
‘Lefty Edge Alg’.
Layer 3: Solving & Placing
the Yellow Colour Side
Step – 1, Making A Plus
Algorithm(s)
1.Lined Alg – F R U R’ U’ F’

How to Make a Yellow Plus

Parity 1: Line Parity
Conditions –
1.Keep the yellow colour edge line in front of you
horizontally.
2.Make sure that you are not facing the white or
yellow colour side.

Solving –
1.Face either green, red, blue, or orange colour
side.
2.Perform the ‘Lined Alg’.
Parity 2: Two Edge Parity
Conditions –
1.Make sure that you do not face the white or
yellow colour side.
2.Keep a yellow colour edge at you front before
the center piece and keep the other at the right
on the yellow colour side.
Solving –
1.Face either green, red, blue, or orange colour
side.
2.Perform the ‘Two Edged Alg’.

Parity 3: Dot Parity

Conditions –
1.Make sure that you do not face the white or
yellow colour side.
2.There should not be any yellow colour edge on
the yellow colour side.
Solving –
1.Face either green, red, blue, or orange colour
side.
2.Perform the ‘Lined & Two Edged Alg’ one by
one.
Step – 2, Placing the Yellow
Corners Pieces
Algorithm(s)
1.Horizontally Alg – R U R’ U’ R U R’ U’ R U R’ U’ (

How to Place the Yellow Corner Pieces

Parity 1: Horizontal Parity

1.Do not face the white or yellow colour side.
2.Keep the one of the corners you want to
interchange in the front right layer.

Solving –
1.Face either the green, orange, blue or red
colour side.
2.Perform the ‘Diagonally Alg’.

Step – 3, Solving the Yellow

How to Solve the Yellow Corner Pieces
1.Keep the corner you want to solve at the
bottom right.
2.Perform the ‘Righty Alg’ until it is solved.
3.Keep on repeating until all the corner pieces
are solved.

Step – 4, Placing the Yellow Edge

layer must go to that of the left, then perform
the ‘Lefty Clockwise Alg’.
