“I have here a mystery box. Inside this box, there


are statements that are applicable in the picture and
not applicable in the picture”

the mystery box and read the statement and answer (Students will raise their hand)
if they will place the statement in the board if it is
applicable in the picture or put it in the trash if not”

“A statement fact is a truth based on


observation, experience or general agreement. It
can be checked by our observation and experience.
It is also generally agreed upon as true.”

“Example, “Philippine Eagle is the National bird


of our country” We can check on the book or on
the internet that this statement is fact because it
was named as Philippines’ National bird in 1995.”

“Can you give me an example of fact statement?”

feeling. A belief or judgement of a person who
may agree or disagree to what has been stated.”

the word fact if the statement that I will say is a
fact. And show the word opinion if the statement is
an opinion:

facts and eliminating factual statement. Thus, we
will not fall victim of fake news and here says. On
the other hand, we may have different opinion in
some aspects. But we should respect other people’s
opinion.

E. Application

Group Activity

“We will be having group activity. This will be the


group 1, 2, 3 and 4. I will give you a box. When
you open the box, it has two columns. Column A is
Fact and Column B is Opinion. Also, inside the
box there are 4 statements. All you have to do is
place the statement in Column A if the statements
are fact and place the statements in Column B if it
is an opinion”

“Fastest group and got the highest score will be the


winner”

“I will play a song that will set as the timer of your
activity. When the song stops, you have to pass (Leaders present their work)
