candidate for the detective position at the NYPD.

I am a strong asset to any team or group in which I take part. I am a highly organized
and detail-oriented worker, with a drive to exceed expectations; the ability to analyze
data and provide solutions to complex problems are also skills of mine. I am hoping to
gain better knowledge in this position, but also to benefit the NYPD greatly.

I am currently a senior in high school, graduating in June. I have taken a few dual-
enrollment classes throughout this year at a local community college: Criminology,
Introduction to the Criminal Justice System, and Criminal Investigation. Throughout the
course of these classes, I have gained skills that are applicable to the knowledge of the
justice system as I have retained a thorough amount of knowledge to carry into the real
world.

A position like this, as well as specifically working for the department, has always been
