Introduction
Hello! Welcome to my Thematic Analysis Presentation. This presentation is researched
based, and requires understanding a few basic concepts before beginning. The next few
slides will present how I approached my research, and how you will best understand the
data presented.
Research Process and Methods

● Researching for this presentation

○ When beginning the research process for this assignment I made a sobering realization, to
complete this assignment, I would need over 100 data points. I wasn’t sure how this was
possible as I did not have access to any data or researching software. The only approach I
was able to come up with was to re-read all of the relevant information, then copy and paste
what seemed like relevant data points onto a different document.
● Organizing themes
○ As I began to collect what seemed like important information I recognized that I didn’t have a
way to organize my data points into various categories and eventual themes. To amend that,
whenever I copied and pasted a data point I highlighted it a color of a pattern I had seen
previously. For example, I began to see the pattern of family, so I highlighted any data point a
collected with the color yellow. Soon I had 11 pages of data points all highlighted various
colors representing various themes.
Research Process and Methods

● Challenges from organizing data

○ As I looked through the pages of data points I was able to see some patterns that I had been
able to identity through the organization process. But a problem came up with some of the
other data points I had collected. While taking segments of other document and pasting
them in my “research document” I would highlight the new information with a color of a
pattern I had seen while collecting the data. Unfortunately my brain began correlating one
color with various other patterns or I would simply forget the pattern all together. Re-reading
and organizing and synthesizing themes from my body of research was an arduous task. I
learned a lot while doing it, but I think the next time I will invest in some data processing
program in order to make it more efficient.
My Data Sources
The next slides will identify the data sources I am using as well as how to identify them
throughout the presentation. At the end of the presentation there will be references slide
that will give you further information on all of the data sources I will be using.
My Data Sources

● Data Sources Key

○ Throughout this presentation you will see 12 separate data sources represented. To make
identifying each data source simple I will introduce and attach a simplified “key” following
the title of each one.
● Data Sources
○ Life Story Personal Narrative (LSPN)-This is my life story written as personal narrative of
our lives. During the narrative I identified some important themes that have made me who I
am
○ Three Questions (3Qs)-This is a self-assessment asking three fundamental questions. What
gives me Joy? What am I good at? What does the world need me to do?
○ Identities Exercise (IE)-This assessment I wrote extensively on my various identities and
which ones I value the most and have made the largest impact on my life.
My Data Sources

● Data Sources con’t

○ Values and Dreams (VD)-These two self assessment helped write and think about what do I
value most in life? And, what are dreams do I have for my life?
○ Kuder Career Interests Assessment® (KuderCareer)-Kuder Assessments are a
professionally made to help users find potential career and degree paths. This Assessment
focuses on the users career interests
○ Kuder Skills Confidence Assessment® (KuderSkills)-Kuder Assessments are a
professionally made to help users find potential career and degree paths. This Assessment
focuses on the users Skills Confidence.
○ Super’s Work Values Inventory-revised (KuderValues)-Kuder Assessments are a
professionally made to help users find potential career and degree paths. This Assessment
focuses on the users workplace values.
My Data Sources

○ Career Anchors Assessment (CAA)-This Self-Assessment helps users identify with one of 8
“career anchors” or types of career categories.
○ Big Five Personality traits Assessment (Big5)-This is a extensive Self-Assessment that
helps the user Identify with 5 personality traits and their characteristics.
○ 16 personalities Assessment (16P)-This Self-Assessment also helps the user identify
personality traits, but also streamlines the information into understandable categories and
paragraphs. My personality type according to this Self-Assessment is “campaigner”.
○ Ogl 360 final portfolio (OG360FP)-This was a reflective final portfolio I previously created
for my Assessment of leadership class at the end of the semester focusing on who I was,
who I am, and who I want to be.
○ Leadership Practices Inventory Assessment (LPIA)-This was a previous assessment I took
focusing on evaluating 5 separate leadership practices.
My 10 Themes
In no particular order, what follows are 10 themes with its associated data points. These
themes represent key identifiers about my life and identity. None of these themes are
perfectly represented or researched. But I do believe that as a whole and observer can
gain greater insight the life of Hadley Schmidt.
Theme 1-A Natural Teacher

● Theme statement: My personality, characteristics and values have made me a natural teacher that
can help educate the rising generation.

● Supporting Data:
○ Possible Careers:Business Teachers, Political Science Teachers, Recreation and Fitness
Studies Teachers(KuderCareer)
○ Possible Degrees: Education/Teaching of Individuals Who are Developmentally Delayed,
Education/Teaching of Individuals with Autism, Education/Teaching of Individuals with
Emotional Disturbances, Education/Teaching of Individuals with Hearing Impairments
Including Deafness(KuderCareer)
Theme 1-con’t

● Supporting Data:
○ Potential Careers: Athletic Trainers, Teaching Assistants Postsecondary, Adapted Physical
Education Specialists(KuderSkills)
○ Potential Degrees: Education/Teaching of Individuals with Autism, Education/Teaching of
Individuals with Emotional Disturbances, Education/Teaching of Individuals with Mental
Retardation, Education/Teaching of Individuals with Multiple Disabilities,
Education/Teaching of Individuals with Orthopedic and Other Physical Health
Impairments(KuderSkills)
○ Service/Dedication to others-People with this service anchor are characterized as being
principally motivated by dedicating their work and sometimes their lives in the service of
others.(CAA)
Theme 1-con’t

● Supporting Data:
○ In the end, I became part of the 5% that was offered the position of a full-time seminary
teacher.(LSPN)

● Contradictory Evidence
○ Potential careers:Patient Representatives, Physical Therapist Aides National Bright Outlook,
Physical Therapist Assistants National Bright Outlook, Probation Officers and Correctional
Treatment Specialists(KuderValues)
Theme 1-con’t

● Reflection
○ When I was a child I was fascinated with a multitude of career paths. Everything from being
an astronaut to being a spy looked interesting. Although I loved the idea of a lot of careers,
none of them seemed to “click” or make sense in my head. Whenever I thought about
potential career paths nothing seemed to align with my own skills or values, everything
seemed either overly selfish or impossible. As I became an adult I shifted my focus more
and more to whom I could best serve. I eventually realized I had the personality, ability, and
drive to eventually become a great teacher. This has helped me find meaning in my everyday
life knowing I’m doing something valuable that I’m good at. Although self-assessment have
pointed towards other career paths, I believe that I’ve found my life long career and purpose
in serving and teaching others.
Theme 2-Relationships

● Theme statement: Relationships are an integral part of my life that make up my identity,
value structure, and overall well-being.

● Supporting Data:
○ I think part of it stems from the intense fear I felt with the thought of having my entire family leave
me. I think the reason this has become a “core memory” is because of how real that abandonment
felt and the fact that even now it’s still a feeling I never want to experience again.(LSPN)
○ I’ve always had doubts that I was enough, and it surprised me when I found someone who said I
was. Her influence has helped me keep going and hoping when I had already lost all hope in myself.
(LSPN)
Theme 2-con’t

● Supporting Data:
○ Many Campaigners harbor a deep longing to share their lives with another person. As a
result, these personalities may feel a bit empty or uninspired when they’re single.(16P)
○ Campaigners (ENFPs) are true free spirits – outgoing, openhearted, and open-minded. With
their lively, upbeat approach to life, they stand out in any crowd. But even though they can be
the life of the party, Campaigners don’t just care about having a good time. These
personality types run deep – as does their longing for meaningful, emotional connections
with other people.(16P)
○ The Co-Workers value means that I work with helpful and trustworthy people on my job,
enjoyable enough to possibly want them as friends.(KuderValues)
Theme 2-con’t

● Supporting Data:
○ The Supervision value means that I have a boss who respects me, recognizes my value, is
easy to talk to, and is concerned about me as a person.(KuderValues)

● Contradictory Evidence
○ I find no contradictory evidence because I cannot function without healthy and stable
relationships. I find myself distraught if I believe that I’ve hurt someone close to me and
happiest when those I love are happy.
Theme 2-Con’t

● Reflection
○ In all of my life the most important things to me have been my friends and family. My value
of and desire for close and personal relationships doesn’t end in my personal circle. I find
myself pursuing friends wherever I go whether that be at church services or during work
hours. It seems like I need healthy relationships to feel secure and loved. This may be in part
due to the immense self-doubt and anxiety I often feel. When I’m surrounded by people that I
feel comfortable around and know feel comfortable around me my feelings of self-doubt
and anxiety seem to dissipate. I’ve been blessed with a loving family and now a loving
spouse who have supported me all my life. This desire and need for healthy, personal
relationships should be at the forefront of my career options and life decisions.
Theme 3-My Christian belief

● Theme Statement: My Christian faith has been an integral part of my life and has helped shape
who I am, and how I view life and the world around me.

● Supporting Data:
○ In my church, the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, baptisms happen at or after
eight years of age…This religious rite of passage that I experienced at a very young age had
a huge impact on who I was and who I became.(LSPN)
○ These experiences have taught me that there’s something beyond myself. There’s a spiritual
aspect to life that I wasn’t aware of, and there are genuinely good people who are making the
world a better place. That’s led me to have an optimistic outlook on life, and made me a
happier person. (LSPN)
Theme 3-con’t

● Supporting Data:
○ I see myself as someone that has inherent value and that is loved by God. I view the world in
a positive light knowing what’s good will prevail and that everyone is inherently good.(IE)
○ I try to act optimistically, even when terrible or frustrating things happen because I know
God’s got a plan. I try to prioritize the things in life that last the longest like family
relationships and who I am becoming(IE)
○ My religion has helped me overcome obstacles, including self-created obstacles that have
hurt me or those around me. I made this my top value because of how much of an impact
it’s had on my personal life(VD)
○ What I mean by religion is the fundamental beliefs, traditions, perspectives, and personal
development that have made me who I am today.(VD)
Theme 3-Con’t

● Contradictory Evidence
○ Close relationships was something that I prioritized very highly and It’s because I’m who I am
because of the people that I grew up knowing and loving.(VD)
● Reflection
○ For as long as I can remember I’ve believed in a loving God and His son Jesus Christ. This
belief hasn’t been a passive part of my life, and it has driven me to try to be a better person
everyday. This drive includes striving to be more kind, be more forgiving, be more loving, and
yes at time to be less lazy. There’s a strong case that it’s my lifelong relationship that has
made up the core of who I am. But when I look at the evidence and my research, I see that
every part of my life is based on my christian beliefs. This has impacted my worldview, my
positive view on life, and my core identity.
Theme 4-Overly extraverted

● Theme statement: The extraversion trait of my personality type is a fundamental part of my

identity and has made far-reaching effects on my life, including my professional career.

● Supporting Data:
○ Of the big five personality traits, I have high Extraversion and Agreeableness moderate
openness to new experiences, and low conscientiousness and natural reactions.(Big5)
○ Excellent Communicators – Campaigners brim with things to say, but they can be caring
listeners as well. This gives them a nearly unmatched ability to have positive and enjoyable
conversations with all sorts of people – even people who aren’t particularly sociable or
agreeable.(16P)
Theme 4-Con’t

● Supporting Data:
○ To be more specific I like giving my time to other people, this can mean simply talking to or
serving them in a specific way.(3Qs)
○ I’ve always been an extroverted person so something that I’ve always been good at is
interacting and talking to people(3Qs)
○ A Campaigner (ENFP) is someone with the Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Prospecting
personality traits.(16P)
○ Encourage the heart-Recognize contributions by showing appreciation for individual
excellence;Celebrate the values and victories by creating a spirit of community;Praises
people for a job well done;Expresses confidence in people's abilities;Makes sure that people
are creatively recognized for their contributions to the success of our projects;Recognizes
people for commitment to shared values;Gets personally involved in recognizing people and
celebrating accomplishments(LPIA)
Theme 4-Con’t

● Contradictory evidence
○ I’ve found no contradictory evidence in my research. Every self assessment I’ve taken has
pointed to the fact that I have a strong extraversion personality trait. I can also correlate that
with my own life experiences and how I’ve always been an outgoing person.
● Reflection
○ Ever since I was a young boy my parents have said “you’ve never known a stranger”. As I
grew older I realized that they meant i couldn’t stop myself from talking to everyone I saw.
This has helped me make a lot of friends and create lasting relationships. My extraversion
has also played a large role in my professional life. It’s because of my extraversion that I’m
able to effectively communicate my thoughts and ideas. My extraversion has also allowed
me to be an effective seminary teacher. Being extraverted has impacted how I interact with
and live in the world everyday of my life.
Theme 5-Meaning in Serving others

● Theme Statement: I am driven by the desire to help and serve those around me, this drive has has
helped me find the most meaning and purpose in life.

● Supporting Data:
○ People with this service anchor are characterized as being principally motivated by
dedicating their work and sometimes their lives in the service of others. This dedication may
take the form of working in a position in which they can directly serve others as counselors,
physicians, therapists, nurses, or in the other helping or supportive occupations and
professions.(CAA)
○ I can think of two things that the world needs me to do. One is to help people feel genuinely
heard and connected to other people. Another is, to help people understand important ideas
that will help them be happier people. (3Qs)
Theme 5-con’t

● Supporting Data:
○ Once I focused on the people I could best use my talent and abilities to help instead of my
own selfish desires, everything fell into place. (LSPN)
○ I think the reason this gives me joy is that I get to make other people feel happier. I think I’m
happiest when I see that I’ve made someone else happy. (3Q’s)
○ Enable others to act;foster collaboration by building trust and facilitating relationships;
strengthen others by increasing self-determination and developing competence;develops
cooperative relationships;treats people with dignity and respect;actively listens to diverse
points of view(LPIA)
Theme 5-Con’t

● Contradictory evidence
○ Potential Careers-Emergency Management Directors, Opticians, Food Service
Managers,Cement Masons and Concrete Finishers, Food Preparation Workers(KuderCareer)
● Reflection
○ Although some self assessments have suggested that I pursue careers that aren’t directly
correlated with helping people, most have said the opposite. Over and over again both I’ve
seen in my research and in my own life that I’m happiest and work the hardest when I’m
serving others. This has made a profound impact on my career path because I struggle to
work in places where I can’t directly help people’s lives. Thankfully I’m currently working as a
teacher where I work my hardest to help students learn and develop. Because of this fact, I
will always pursue this types of careers so I can always feel valuable and fulfilled.
Theme 6-Work Ethic

● Theme statement: I believe that If I purse my dreams and goals with enough determination and
work ethic, I will be able to achieve anything I’ve set my mind to, because I’ve done it before.

● Supporting Data:
○ That was my dream for my senior year, the second year of wrestling; to compete and place
at the state level. To accomplish this I practiced with the best wrestler on our team every day
even though he embarrassed me most of the time. I pushed myself physically until I became
conditioned enough to wrestle the hardest opponents.(LSPN)
○ My dream had become a reality, even more so than I had previously imagined. Instead of
placing fourth or sixth I had made it to the state championship round and had gotten second
place.(LSPN)
Theme-6 con’t

● Supporting Date:
○ For the challenge-anchored person, the one thing that matters is being challenged at the
highest possible level. Success is defined in terms of winning the war or the game or the
contract or the sale, overcoming obstacles, being the best, being the first, beating the
competition, reaching for their highest, surpassing previous goals, and so on. They often
seek variety in their careers (and in their lives in general) and, in the absence of challenge,
become highly dissatisfied. Easy things are boring.(CAA)
○ I value meaningful work, I struggle to do work I don’t feel is important, but when I see the
bigger vision I can spend countless hours trying to accomplish that vision.(VD)
○ I value excellence, this means if I care about something I want it to be done well, even if it
requires extra work.(VD)
Theme 6-con’t

● Contradictory Evidence
○ Of the big five personality traits, I have high Extraversion and Agreeableness, moderate
openness to new experiences, and low conscientiousness and natural reactions. I agree with
my highest score of agreeableness and extraversion. Something that surprised me what my
score in conscientiousness. It said I had a low score because I was disorganized and
spontaneous, which is true, but on the high scoring side, it gives attributes like a strong
sense of duty.(Big5)
Theme-con’t

● Reflection
○ Something that’s been instilled in me all my life is that if you want something, you need to
work hard to get it. I don’t know if I’ll ever work as hard as my father does, but there’s been
times when I’ll work tirelessly to accomplish something I find valuable. Looking back I’ve
realized some of my greatest accomplishments in life have come through hard work,
including my current career path and it’s nearly year-long process it took to finally be hired.
But something pointed out by my Big 5 personality self-assessment, I have a low
conscientiousness personality trait which mean I tend to be more lazy. If I’m going to be
successful in life I need to find what I can be passionate about so I can effectively use my
work ethic to help myself and those around me. I’m glad that I have a current career path
that allows me to do so.
Theme 7- Family over everything else

● Theme statement: In every turn of my life I’ve always come back to my family, I will sacrifice
whatever necessary to best support, love, and care for my immediate and extended family.

● Supporting Data:
○ I see myself as someone with a legacy to live up to that drives me to accomplish important
and meaningful things;I see myself as someone part of a family that supports and loves me
and who I can fall back on at any time(IE)
○ I know I can appreciate myself because I have a family that’s appreciated me my whole lifeI
act with pride knowing I carry a last name that stands for something and means a lot to a lot
of prioritize(IE)
Theme 7-con’t

● Supporting Data:
○ The Lifestyle value means that the work tasks and work hours required in my job do not
conflict with the time I want to spend with family and friends in leisure
activities.(KuderValues)
○ My Number one value is To be able to create an environment where I can have a happy
family. I want to be able to know I did all I could to create the circumstances in which my
family could be happy. (VD)
○ I believe that the highest accomplishment a human being can have in this life is to have a
happy family. I believe I want this because this is what my parent provided for me. From
personal experience know what incredible parents can do for their children and I want to do
the same for my children.(VD)
Theme 7- con’t

● Supporting Data:
○ My wife is having our first child soon, and as soon as that happens I will see a big shift in my
roles and identity. Ever since I’ve gotten married one of the most important roles I had was
being a husband. I think as I start a family and have more children being a father will become
my primary identity and role over all the rest of the ones I listed.
● Contradictory Evidence
○ As time passes I hope I continually improve, listen to criticism, and improve. I believe that my
job is important and can help others, so I want to develop into the best teacher I can be.(VD)
Theme-7 con’t

● Reflection
○ In my life I’ve seen a lot of examples of people sacrificing weekends and holidays with their
families so they can get a bigger paycheck. Outside of necessity, that never sat right with
me. My work could not compare with how much I value and love my family, no matter what
the work might be. This has led me to make career decisions that lead to lower pay. Usually
higher paying jobs mean working longer hours and sacrificing time at home for the
company. I never could accept those trade-offs and have always chose whatever jobs mean
the most amount of reasonable time with my loved ones. Being a seminary teacher with
predictable hours has helped me in pursuing what I value in both my professional and
personal lives.
Theme 8-I fear letting people down

● Theme statement: I’ve always struggled with the belief that I wasn’t good enough or that I would
let myself or others down, this had made me turn to others to receive assurance and help.

● Supporting Data:
○ Her influence has helped me keep going and hoping when I had already lost all hope in
myself. (LSPN)
○ Some might say that it was a miracle that I got married, but I think the truer miracle has
always been how I was able to find someone that believes in me as much as my wife
does.(LSPN)
Theme 8-con’t

● Supporting Data:
○ With their positive, upbeat attitude, Campaigners rarely seem upset or dissatisfied on the
outside. But their inner idealism can leave them with a nagging feeling that some major
areas of their life just aren’t good enough – whether that’s their work, their home life, or their
relationships. (16P)
○ My biggest limiting assumption is that I’ll never measure up. I placed a picture of
mountaineers reaching the top of a mountain because of the sense of accomplishment they
must feel reaching the peak. If I ever overcome my assumption that I’ll never measure up I
hope to feel the same sense of exhilaration when I succeed.(OGL360FP)
○ I value close relationships, I don’t do very well on my own, and having my wife and friends
help me feel supported and stable.(VD)
Theme 8-con’t

● Supporting Data:
○ I wouldn’t be able to function without my wife, my family, and my friends. They help me feel
supported and loved and that helps me get through the hard times.(VD)
● Contradictory Evidence:
○ Campaigners (ENFPs) are true free spirits – outgoing, openhearted, and open-minded. With
their lively, upbeat approach to life, they stand out in any crowd. But even though they can be
the life of the party(16p)
Theme 8-con’t

● Reflection
○ People have often assumed because of my extraversion and cheery attitude that I don’t get
nervous or struggle with anxiety. In interesting ways my personality type seems to have both
sides of the stress and worry spectrum. On the outside and in social situations I often seem
carefree and cheerful. But on the inside I can often feel anxious and full of doubts of if I’ll
ever measure up or if I’ll be good enough. This contradiction in how I see myself has made it
difficult for me to reach out to others and get help when I’m emotionally or mentally
struggling. Luckily, I can believe and be supported by other people’s words of
encouragement or affirmation when I feel worthless or unable. This has made my
relationships with my family and wife especially important and they have enabled me to
accomplish things I would never imagine I would be able to accomplish myself.
Theme 9-I’m a leader

● Theme statement: I have the confidence and willingness to take charge of situations when people
seem confused or needing help, this kind of leadership varies from telling a group of people to do,
to helping without being told to.

● Supporting data:
○ Model the way-Clarify values by finding your voice and affirming shared values;Set the
example by aligning actions with shared values;Sets a personal example of what is
expected;Makes certain that people adhere to the principles and standards that have been
agreed upon;Follows through on promises and commitments;Asks for feedback on how
his/her actions affect people's performance;Builds consensus around organization's
values;Is clear about his/her philosophy of leadership(LPIA)
Theme 9-con’t

● Supporting Data:
○ Excellent Communicators – Campaigners brim with things to say, but they can be caring listeners as
well. This gives them a nearly unmatched ability to have positive and enjoyable conversations with
all sorts of people – even people who aren’t particularly sociable or agreeable.(16P)
○ Possible careers: Business Teachers, Postsecondary, Political Science Teachers, Postsecondary,
Clergy, Recreation and Fitness Studies Teachers, Postsecondary, Educational, Guidance, and Career
Counselors and Advisors(KuderCareer)
○ Consumer Merchandising/Retailing Management, Sport and Fitness Administration/Management,
Registered Nursing, Nursing Administration, Nursing Research and Clinical Nursing, Physical
Education Teaching and Coaching, Clinical Nurse Leader(KuderSkills)
Theme 9-con’t

● Supporting Data:
○ That’s a little like life I suppose, the more you focus on others, the happier you are and the
more life you’ll have to live. But the more you focus on yourself, the less life you’ll have, and
the less happy you’ll be.(LSPN)
○ I have an awesome opportunity to teach five classes at my full-time job being a seminary
teacher at a nearby high school. This means I have around 150 students that walk into my
classroom every day. Something that I value doing in my classes is hopefully getting my
students to connect with me and mostly the stories and people in scripture, and just as
importantly with the students around them. I joked with a student recently while we were
doing a partner activity that the person in front of them was a human, and that you need to
talk to humans to interact with them and not stare down at your phone. Looking back now I
don’t think that is so much a joke. I believe people, especially younger people, are forgetting
how to interact and communicate with other people. I think that in a small way, I can help
other people prioritize and do that. (3Q’s)
Theme 9-con’t

● Contradictory Evidence
○ Potential degrees: Child Abuse Pediatrics Residency Program, Child Development, Child
Neurology Residency Program, Teaching of Individuals with Autism(KuderSkills)
● Reflection
○ A part of me has probably always wanted to be the leader, but that doesn’t mean it always
turned out I was. As I’ve grown older I’ve slowly learned that a leader doesn’t just mean the
person telling everyone what to do. A leader can also be someone setting an example of
what to do, or carefully teaching a skill that someone else can use. The Kuder Skills
assessment gave me some suggestions of how I can serve individuals instead of lead and
teach. Although both sound meaningful to me, I find it fulfilling to be a leader in a variety of
ways as I try to lead and teach 150 students everyday.
Theme 10- I’m a dreamer

● Theme statement: Every step of my life has been in the pursuit of a lofty dream or goal, it’s
because of this larger perspective that I’m able to be passionate and patient with adversity.

● Supportive data:
○ I came back my senior year with higher expectations. In our wrestling room, they had big
wooden signs listing the various wrestlers that had placed 1st through 6th in state over the
years. Every practice I looked up at those signs and told myself that my name would end up
on one of those lists.(LSPN)
○ Of all the careers I wanted as a child, a teacher was never one of them. I remember wanting
to be an astronaut, a national geographic cameraman, a bush pilot, and, I think, a spy at one
point.(LSPN)
Theme 10-Con’t

● Supportive Data:
○ Campaigners (ENFPs) are known for having a wealth of ideas, interests, and hobbies – to
the extent that they may struggle to fit everything that they care about into their lives. It’s no
surprise, then, that choosing a career path can leave people with this personality type feeling
overwhelmed or scattered.(16p)
○ When something sparks their imagination, Campaigners can show an enthusiasm that is
nothing short of infectious. (16P)
○ In ten years time I hope to create a life where love is my daily motivator in both my
professional and personal lives.(OGL360FP)
○ In three years I want to obtain a master’s degree and then celebrate by going to rome or
Israel, by 2032 I want to have obtained a P.H.D and have become a principal of my own
seminary.(OGL360FP)
Theme 10-con’t

● Contradictory evidence:
○ But once the initial bloom of inspiration wears off, Campaigners can struggle with
self-discipline and consistency, losing steam on projects that once meant so much to them.
(16P)
● Reflection
○ Ever since I was a little kid I’ve always had big ideas of what I wanted to do with my life.
Although I’m not living up to the expectations of my 6 year old self, not being a spy and all,
I’ve still been able to accomplish some very important dreams for myself. A flaw to my
personality type is that I can sometimes lose traction or desire to accomplish something
that was really important to me. Fortunately, the most important dreams and goals have
never changed:being a good father and husband and making my family proud.
Vision Statement of Hadley Schmidt:

To help others see that life is worth living.

I do as I always putting other put other people’s needs before mine
striving to inspire, uplift, and serve others.
Mission Statement of Hadley Schmidt

I can help others see that life is worth living by striving to inspire those around me. This can
happen as I try to live life in a selfless way for those that I love most. I can also inspire others
as I convey important messages and ideas that can change their self-perception and how they
see the world.

I can help others see that life is worth living by striving to uplift those around me. I can do this
by seeing people in their trials and times of need and doing what I can to help. I can try to uplift
others by being a caring friend that can always be there for those that need me.

I can help others see that life is worth living by striving to serve those around me. Through
service I can try to lift the burdens of others and help people believe that they are good enough
to be helped just as they are.
Conclusion

At the beginning of each of these assessments, I would often wonder what else
there was to learn about me. “I know who I am” I would often think to myself “I
don’t need to write about myself to know who I am”. Despite my doubts, sooner
or later I would stumble upon a bit of information that gave me more insight on
who I was then what I had before. It’s surprising to think that parts of you don’t
