BARANGAY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 1

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HON. JUNBIT D. BOYONAS PUNONG BARANGAY OF

BARANGAY TAGUITIC AND IN BEHALF OF BARANGAY TAGUITIC TO ENTER INTO
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF KAPATAGAN,
LANAO DEL NORTE REPRESENTED BY HON. BARRY Y. BAGUIO, MUNICIPAL MAYOR,
RELATIVE TO OUR COMMITMENT TO ENROLLL AT LEAST THREE QUALIFIED SCHOLARS
AT COLEGIO DE KAPATAGAN AND TO PROVIDE AND DEPOSIT FUNDS AT THE
DESIGNATED SPECIAL TRUST ACCOUNT OF THE LOCAL COLLEGE AS STIPULATED IN
THE HEREIN ATTACHED MOU.

WHEREAS, Colegio de Kapatagan was established and created by virtue of Municipal

Ordinance No. 96, 2. 2019;

WHEREAS, support for the sustainable operation to the local college is a collective endeavor by
all stakeholders, including the thirty-three barangays of the municipality;

WHEREAS, one critical aspect to social development is the attainment of higher education
which Colegio de Kapatagan can offer an affordable BS Courses;

WHEREAS, to ensure continued operation of the college, enrolling at least three (3) qualified
students for every barangay is a guaranteed 99 students, excluding its financial support until the
college becomes self-reliant as stipulated in the proposed MOU (attached is the proposed MOU
forming as integral part of this resolution);

NOW THEREFORE, after due deliberation and upon motion of Hon. Rogelio Semense, duly
seconded by Hon. Nilda B. Abucay;

IT IS RESOLVE, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED Authorizing the Punong Barangay, HON.

JUNBIT D. BOYONAS for and in behalf of Barangay Taguitic to enter into a Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) with the Local Government Unit of Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte,
represented by HON. BARRY Y. BAGUIO, Municipal Mayor, relative to our commitment to enroll
at least three (3) qualified scholars at Colegio de Kapatagan and to provide and deposit funds at
the designated Special Trust Account of the local college as stipulated in the herein attached
MOU.

Unanimously carried by all Barangay Council Members present.
