SEQUENCE OF OPRATION OF DG SETS &BREAKERS WHEN:


A. EMERGENCY BUS SEPA FAILS (UNIT # 5):
i) Breaker No. 7 of 5 EfA Bus will open.
ii) DG -7 & DG-8 will s t
iii) simuitaneously
Breaker No. 1 (Qi) ill close by
when voltage build up resulting DGDB-5
iv) Breaker No. 5 of 5 PA will close resulting 5 EPA bus charged by DG-7. charged DG -7.
v) If breaker 1 does nat. close then
DGDB #5 charged by DG -8. Beaker 2(Q2) will close after a time delay. Resulting

STOPPING OF DG SETS AND
NORMALISATION:
i) Put selector switch of respective DG set
on UCP on manual.
ii) Stop DG set manually from control room.
iii) After ensuring that no supply is available from DG Set.

1. Rush to D.G. room with kev.

(D) IF D.G.D, B. FAILS TO CHARGE:
Give close command to the breaker by
pressing close push button on AMF panel for closing
beaker Q1 for main DG Set-7 or Q2 for standby DG Set-8 to
charge DGDB-5.
(E) IN COMER BREAKERFROM D.G. BUS TO UNIT
EMERGENCY BUS (BREAKER NO. 5
OR 6) FAILS TO CLOSE:
i. In normal condition,þreaker No,3 is "ON" & breaker No. 4 is
"OFF".
ii. In normal condition breaker No. 5 is "OFF" breaker No. 6is
"OUT".

(a) IF D.G. Settart, D,G.D.B. bus charged but by any circumstance


breaker
No. 5 is notosed on auto then following steps are to be taken,
i. Ensure breaker No. 5 is "OFF" then put breaker No. 6 in service position & its D.C.
control supply made 'ON"which is in breaker panel.
ii. Give "On" command to breaker No. 4. This breaker is situated on D.G.D.B. in DG room.

iii Breaker No. 6 will close on auto. If not closed the give close command to it. This
breaker is situated on emergency bus, In MCC room at 13:50 mtr. elevation.

Note: Ifbreaker No. 4 is in "ON position &breaker No. 3 is in "OFF" position (Reverse
condition of step G(), thenabove similar steps are to be followed according to this
conditions for charglng emergency bus. These steps are as under:
iv. Ensure breaker No.6 is "OFF" then put breaker No. 5 in service position & its D.C. control
supply made on which is in breaker panel.

Give "ON" Commandto breaker No.3 This breaker is situated on D.G.D.B.
command to it. This
vi. Breaker No. 5 will close on auto. If not closed, then give close
breaker is situated ca einergency bus.
