Humanity and the modern world

Taking a glance around would let us understand how humanity has evolved in a
matter of time, it only emphasizes that changes is an unescapable reality of a living
identity. It evidenced the current era we have today, a loud noise from human-bringing
machines, suffocating air pollution, a mountain of dump waste, or even an instant
change of weather, that is just a peak of how humanity embraced modernity. however,
this form of changes actually occurred due to our own realization of past, this simply our
mechanisms to continue surviving in this life, it produces the technology which provides
us way living life in a simplest possible way, the current democratic system, and a far
fairer distribution of economic resources and so on.
To begin with, Modernity define as a condition of social existence that is radically
different to all past forms of human experience. Modernization refers to the transitional
process of moving from “traditional” or “primitive” communities to modern societies.
(Wikipedia) its in fact refers to the evolution of a human life considering the adoption of
the different changes resulting the realization of the past. However, modernization
doesn’t occur randomly but rather by means of some factors, “global experience shows
that the leading role in modernization processes belongs to human resources and the
main value of society is human capital as a combination of knowledge, skills and
competences of an employee (Tsapenko, 2014). In other words, the “increasing role of
human capital as the main driving force of economic and social development”
(Kliucharev, Savenkov and Bакlаnоv, 2016) as a key resource for modernization has
become one of the long-term comprehensive challenges that many developed and
developing countries are facing in the new millennium.
Effects of modernization can be seen everywhere. With the expansion of
industrialization now everything is industry made. People have no time to spend on
making rag dolls for their children to play with. They will directly buy an xbox or a barbie
doll. Nowadays mothers don’t have time to knit sweaters for their children or any other
member of the family because in modern societies maximum women choose to work.
Even food materials are processed. Inextricably, modern society can be linked with the
emergence of industrial society.
Industrialism is a way of life that encompasses profound economic, social,
political and cultural changes. It is by undergoing the comprehensive transformation of
industrialization that societies become modern. Now those less interrupted natural
beauty with human habitat have become landscapes of concrete. With lots of
spectacular bridges, beautiful roads and everything else. To have a taste of nature
people living in many societies have to go to a park nearest to their homes.
Modernization is a constant phenomena. It never stops. Modernization brings changes
and those changes receive impact from the present in either good or bad way. But it
never rests. In a modernized society discussions are open as compared to what had
been in the past. Promiscuity is also common with children being exposed to adult
issues and complexities far sooner than the preceding generation. Nowadays people
feel less about their belonging from a closely knit society. Joint families are
disintegrated into smaller ones due to necessities aroused by certain external
compulsions. Everything else makes children matured or adapted sooner than they
have to. They do not get the chance of enjoying their innocent childhood properly. They
are thrown into competition soon.
Conclusion
Up to certain point only the modern societies carries the institution and values of
a society along with it. Beyond that point modernization brings all the discontentment.
Modern societies claim to be free from domination by tradition. Because of this loss of
culture also occurs. however, modernization has its own pros and cons. One can clearly
know the positive impacts of a modern society. But the other side of it comes in disguise
along with the positive impacts. For example, technological developments reduce the
time and cost incurred in mass production and makes work easier. This directly affects
the employment cycle in every pre-modernization society. Modern society thrashes
more capable and experienced employees and job seekers with its own advancements.
Modernization, hence, has good aspects and at the same time unfolds badly as in the
above example. All that the humankind can do is to accept the irreversible changes, try
to be fit enough to survive in the competitive modern society and admit the serious
natural and social impacts of the globalization in the future to come.
