A Clueless Murder

Create Your Own Graveyard!

What you will need:
• Styrofoam blocks (cheapest if found at a hardware/
home supply store such as Lowes, Home Depot, etc.)
• Wood burning tool (found at craft stores~ $10)
• Grey Latex paint
• Black spray paint
• Black paint
• Serrated knife or a large cutting tool
• Wire coat hangers

Making Tombstones
• You will want to cut the styrofoam down to the shape that you will want for your tombstone. Experiment with different
shapes and sizes. Use a permanent marker to design the type, decoration, cracks, etc. that you will then burn into the
tombstone.
• Next, take the wood burning tool and burn where you have drawn in your details.
• Paint the styrofoam with the grey latex paint. Note: it is important that the paint is not oil based (as spray paint is). Oil
based paint will eat away at the styrofoam. Make sure the styrofoam is covered with the grey paint, so that when you ap-
ply the black spray paint on top of it, it will not ruin the tombstone.
• With the black paint, paint in the details where you have burned.
• Hold the spray paint at a 90 degree angle to the tombstone and coat the tombstone VERY LIGHTLY with the paint,
just enough for the tombstone to look aged and weathered.

Placing the Tombstones in the Ground

• Take your wire hangers and straighten them.
• Insert the straightened hangers into the tombstone leaving 6-10 inches of wire hanger outside of the tombstone.
• Stick the other half of the hangers into the ground, this should hold up your tombstone quite nicely.

Additional Ideas:
• If throwing A Clueless Murder, go ahead and make a tombstone for Mr. Boddy.
• Make a blank tombstone with the date of your party. As your guests arrive, they will wonder who is going to
“die” that night.
• You can customize your styrofoam to make a sign for your party (shown below on the far right).
• Fence your graveyard in for added affect (shown above).

A Clueless Murder
Killer Chillers

Ingredients:
1/4 cup honey or corn syrup 12 drops of red food coloring

• In shallow pan, add honey (or corn syrup) and food coloring and mix until blended.

• Dip the rims of your glasses into the mixture one at a time, coating the rims of the glasses.

• Turn upright and let stand to allow the mixture to drip down, resembling blood.

• Place a paper towel around the base of the glass to catch drips.

• You can have these on hand to toast at any time in the night - maybe kick it off at the start

of the party with the introduction or when reading the solution!
