Direction: Read the questions below and write your answer on the space provided. (At
least 5 sentences for each question)

1. How will you differentiate anaerobic a-lactic and anaerobic lactic system? What
do they have in common? Explain.
2. How does the aerobic energy system work in our body? How does it differ from 2
anaerobic systems? Explain.

Answers:
1. Both anaerobic a-lactic and anaerobic lactic are, well, anaerobic. A-lactic and
lactic do not require oxygen. They're used in high-intense exercises, which is why
they don't last long. While anaerobic a-lactic is the fastest and most powerful
system, it does not produce lactic acid and only last for 6-15 seconds. The
anaerobic lactic produces lactic acid that lasts for about 2 minutes.
2. Aerobic means “with air” the system needs oxygen to function and produce
energy unlike anaerobic. The aerobic exercises usually last longer than 2
minutes that are low in intensity. The energy is stored so a continuous steady
state can be done for long types of exercise, like swimming, cycling, walking, etc.
Anaerobic means “without air” so it can produce energy without oxygen but for
could not last for a long time. The aerobic system and anaerobic system can
easily be differentiated by oxygen, does or does it not need it to produce energy.
