3. Summary
Kuakata, known as 'Sagar Kannya' is located on the southernmost tip of Bangladesh. It is a famous tourist spot
with evergreen forest and a touch of the Bay of Bengal. It is endowed with natural beauty, sandy beaches and a
shimmering vast expanse of water. Its name was derived from a story of a 'Kua' or well-dug by the Rakhaines.
It being one of the unique spots enables a visitor to watch both the sunrise and the sunset from the same place.
This sandy beach sloping gently into the Bay also allows the visitors to enjoy pleasant bathing, swimming or
diving.
