Cloud Computing Services:

Cloud computing provides many services such as: “IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and FaaS”.
1. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): Is a cloud computing service where
customers are remotely provided with servers, networks, and storage capacity
needed to manage their data, applications, and operating system. Such
organizations are often technology companies with IT expertise. (Rainer &
Prince, 2022)
2. Platform as a Service (PaaS): Is a cloud computing service where customers
develop applications and manage their data. The PaaS model can be thought
of as a domain for software developers as it aids them with the development
lifecycle of their applications. (Rainer & Prince, 2022)
3. Software as a Service (SaaS): Is the most widely used model. In this model
customers don’t need to manage anything related to the program, as they are
provided with a software that processes their data. It suits end users and
business clients, and they can run SaaS programs on their own data. SaaS
programs are regularly backed up in order to prevent any infrastructure
outage. A subset of SaaS is DaaS “Desktop as a Service” which is a software
environment for desktop personal computer. (Rainer & Prince, 2022)
4. Functions as a Service (FaaS): Are good for real time actions. They are cloud
computing services that offers a program that allows customers to use
applications’ functions without the need to build and maintain the needed
infrastructure. FaaS could be confused with serverless computing, which is a
model where the provider runs the service and manages the allocation of
machine resources dynamically. (Rainer & Prince, 2022)
Conclusion:
Cloud computing models provide the main computing services required by
customers such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS),
Software as a Service (SaaS), and Functions as a service (FaaS). These models are
provided for their desired customers depending on their company type and
requirements needed.
