    Do the English Speak English?

    I just arrived in London, the station it just confusing, I didnt know how to get the hotel, i asked
    the porter how to get the hotel, i spoke very carefully to make sure the porter understood, but the porter
    however could not understand it. He answered, but it wasn't very clear and it was too fast. I said “im
    foreigner”, then the porter spoke slowly but i still not understand him. i thought even my teacher never
    spoke english like that!. “you’ll soon learn English!” he said. I just wondering that in English each man
    speaks a different language but amazingly they understand each other, but im not. Once again, do they
    speak english?
