The heaHeartbleed bug is a bug present in popular OpenSSL software libraries.

It allows people
on the internet to read memories of systems that are protected by weak versions of OpenSSL.
This includes names, passwords, and other content about the users of the particular software of
app. A fixed OpenSSL version has been released to replace the older one, and developers have
to adapt this new software to stop the vulnerability. It was first introduced in 2012 and
discovered and fixed in 2014.
There are still unpatched systems to this day that still use the older unsafe version, rendering
them susceptible to be attacked through this bug.
