1. What is your research all about?

Our research is about the lived experiences of the Kindergarten parents in the new normal
education whereas the Kindergarten can’t fully adapt in this system. Therefore, our study aims to
determine the challenges faced by the parents, because they are the ones doing the modules of the
pupils, so that we will find ways and interventions as help for the pupils to fully adapt in the New
Normal Education.
2. Do you think it is relevant?/What is the significance of your research?
Our study is relevant, especially in this time of pandemic. We all know that Kindergarten is our
basic foundation of education, thus, if we can’t full immerse ourselves in this, we can’t enjoy the
remaining years of our education. Also, it is relevant because we can observe the will of
kindergarten pupils to study, however, they can’t seem to adapt in this New Normal. Our research
can be a big help to their adaptation and adjustment. Education in this pandemic would be easier
for them, for the teachers, parents and students.
3. What is your research design?
Our study is qualitative research and we made use of the phenomenological research design.
Phenomenological research design is an approach that helps in describing the lived experiences of
an individual or studying the phenomena (which is the pandemic) that impacted in the life of an
individual.
4. What is the purpose of your study?
Mainly, the purpose of our study is to help the society by suggesting ways for improvement. Our
study aims to assimilate the impact of the New Normal Education to kindergarten parents lived
experiences during the pandemic. After knowing the lived experiences of the Kindergarten
parents, the researchers will suggest ways and interventions to help them adapt in the New
Normal Education. This can also be used by future researchers.
5. What are your data gathering tool?
In this study, we made use of questionnaires, focus group discussion, interview and our
observations also in gathering the desired data to be interpreted. Questionnaires-its content are the
questions that we’ll be asking in the interview and focus group discussion because not all can
express their thoughts orally, interview and focus group discussion- sharing of experiences,
reflections and challenges in the New Normal Education. Lastly, observation- we also have
observed how the kindergarten parents and pupils struggled in the New Normal Education
because we, ourselves, have kindergarten siblings.
6. Why did you choose this topic?
We chose this topic because we care for the Kindergarten pupils, even us senior high students, we
are struggling to cope up with the New Normal Education, how much more to these young kids?
We chose this topic because in one way or another, to help our respondents (teachers, parents and
pupils).

7. What is the scope of the study?


The study will be conducted at Bangaan Elementary School, Bangaan Sagada, Mountain
Provinces. We will make use of purposive sampling wherein we will be choosing 15 parents and
the teacher. We believe that the kindergarten pupils can’t give us a concrete answer that is why
we’ll be interviewing their parents instead.

9. What research methodology did you use?
Our research is a qualitative research wherein phenomenological research design was used to
know the lived experiences of the Kindergarten parents in the new normal education. Before
conducting the research, we’ll be asking for permission first and we’ll be telling the purpose of
the study to avoid unnecessary things. To know the data that we’ll be interpreting, we’ll be
choosing 16 respondents that will be chosen through purposive sampling. Then, to answer the
questions, we’ll be conducting interviews and focus group discussion on our respondents; and
we’ll be floating questionnaires and surveys for them to answer if they can’t explain orally. The
information gathered will be kept with utmost respect and confidential.

Thank the panel of assessors and let them know that the revisions/corrections that were given
(such as rewriting the conclusion, tables/graphs that are not in the right format, something you
said during the defense and they want you to include it in the report or some other issues they
noticed you did not capture) would be implemented and shown to your supervisor.
12. Why did you use this kind of research?
We used this research design because we want to seek an in-depth understanding of on the
effects of the New normal education in the Kindergarten.
