Go on to Page 2.
Next, provide 1 reason why this characteristic is important to success in the Dual Diploma
Program and one example of how you demonstrate this quality through your participation in
the Dual Diploma Program.

Characteristic #1: Openness to feedback and making changes to improve.

Reason why this is important: From my point of view, this is such an important characteristic
because if you do not listen to feedback and learn from your mistakes, then you will never
learn at all.
Example: I am a person who is always making mistakes and unless people notice me about
them, I won´t notice so that I still falling on the same thing. Since you Patricia told me to be
aware from writing the pronoun “ I “ in minuscules I started writing it in capital letters.

Characteristic #2: Understanding and appreciation of haw English will benefit their future.
Reason why this is important: I think that this is a characteristic that depends on the person
and on the future of that person, but it is so useful because you can use it in almost every
country.
Example: I am going to study a year in Canada, in 4th grade, and I would like to study the
university on the United States, so this is a really important point to keep into account.

Characteristic #3: Interest in participating in a global program with students around the
world.
Reason why this is important: I agree that this is an important characteristic because it helps
me being motivated.

Example: Imagine this was just an activity of school, then I would be mad at my parents
because they singed me up, but actually I was the first who wanted to be signed up in here, it
is a great motivation for me to be on a program with people around the world, it makes me
feel unique.

Characteristic #4: Eagerness to learn.

Reason why this is important: This is important because if you do not really want to learn
new things then you won´t success.

Example: I must confess that there are some Dual activities that I do not really enjoy so I am
not so keen on learning that specific topic, then I fail because I won´t be motivated.

Characteristic #5: Independence.

Reason why this is important: This is an important characteristic because if anybody depends
on another person then anybody will succeed.
Example: If I depend on a friend for doing something then, I will have toal the time with that
friend but if he or she gets sick then I would be lost and I will fail.
