Impact map: start with a measurable outcome

Second level are the stakeholders who can help or hinder that outcome

3d level is how those stkaeholders can help or hinder that outcome

At the last level is the what, the actual things you can do to help achieve that outcome

In an impact mapping exercise you get all the stakeholders together, IT operations, line of business,
product people, developers, customers, and we get them to think about the outcome, traceout the
stakeholders, how it could help or hinder, then you get to the options and you look for which option will
give you the maximum outcome for the minimum effort.

Then instead of coming up with a requirement, you come up with a hypothesis.

Mapping this to an impact map: the feature is the what, the stakeholders are the people, the
measurable outcome we’re going to achieve. Then we need to come up with an experiment that’s going
to test whether we can meet that or not.
