Sewing the diamonds together:

- With a crochet needle or crochet hook, sew all diamonds together, one side at a time
- How I sew my diamonds together:
o Put 2 diamonds together and focus on one edge
o Cut a piece of yarn
o Insert your crochet hook into both 1st stitches of both diamonds, and pass the
thread through
o Make a knot to secure your thread
o Insert your hook into the 2nd stitch of both diamonds, and pass thread
through
o Keep inserting your hook into each stitch until you reach the other side
o Repeat on each side and each diamond

- Once you have made the front and back, make sure to sew the two sides together. The
front and back pieces should fit like puzzle pieces on the sides.
The border

Once you have all the diamonds together and sewed the front and back together, it’s time to
make the border.
- Bottom border:
o Single crochet all around bottom edge
o Make 6 rows of single crochet
- V-neck border
o Start after the V: single crochet around the neck, slipstitch into first single
crochet to finish the V
o Row 2-7: single crochet rows
▪ If your rows are not straight enough, skip 1 stitch when there is a dip
to make the row straighter
- Sleeves
o Make 7 rows of single crochet
▪ If your rows aren’t straight enough, skip 1 stitch where there is a dip to
make the row straighter
Finishing Up

- Turn your work inside out

- Tie diamond threads together, cut them, and burn the yarn so it doesn’t fray.
- Lose your threads used for the border:
o Insert your hook in a stitch close to the yarn and pull thread through
o Do this a couple times, then cut and burn thread
