SUBJECT : Cascading of the Basic Course on Continuous Quality

Improvement for Health Facilities in the DOH Academy

The Health Facility Development Bureau in coordination with USAID ReachHealth

has developed a Basic Course on Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) for Health
Facilities. This aims to introduce the concepts and principles of CQI as well as the relevant
policies and tools for its institutionalization in healthcare facilities as provided in
Administrative Order No. 2020-0034, “Revised Guidelines on the Implementation of
Continuous Quality Improvement Program in Health Facilities in Support of Quality Access
for Universal Health Care.”

The course is applicable to the officers and staff of health facilities involved in
implementing CQI program, the DOH Centers for Health Development, and the Provincial
Health Officers. It is self-paced with about two (2) hours of instructional time. You may
