Step Operation Tool and Equipment

1 Get a piece of stock 1.5" Thickness x 2" Width x 15.75" Length.

less than 6" wide - Jointer,

2 Flatten one Face.
over 1" thick - Surface Planner

3 Joint Edge perpendicular to the Face. Jointer

4 Plan other Face parallel to 1st Face to 2" Thickness. Surface Planner

5 Rip other Edge 1/16" over the desired 2 1/16" Width. Table Saw

6 Joint ripped Edge perpendicular to the Face to desired 2" Width. Jointer

7 Square end of 1.5" Thick x 2" Wide stock. Sliding Power Mitre Saw

8 Layout 1.5" Thick x 2" Wide stock to desired 15.75" Length. pencil, scale, square

9 Cut 1.5" Thick x 2" Wide stock to desired 15.75" Length. Sliding Power Mitre Saw

10 Cut and mill stock for the legs

11 Locate and drill 3/8" dowel holes, Drill Press

Dry fit the legs together with dowels, measure the distance between the upper and lower

stretchers and the legs.

Dry fit the end assemblies to be sure everything lines up.
